Respite Ministries Expand and Make Plans

While our Respite for All team is working hard to help new communities launch in new locations, the directors of our local communities are also helping spread the model. Daniel George, center in the photo above, is the director of the new Friends Place Respite Ministry in Sequim, WA. He was joined at the April 17 ribbon cutting by Rhonda Heyn (right), director of Tim’s Place in the same city who helped facilitate the launch. Jackie Ragghianti (left) is a key volunteer for both programs. Special note: Daniel and Rhonda are the only husband-and-wife team to lead two programs!

In mid-April, the Care 4 All Respite Program in Lawrence, KS, which meets on Tuesdays and Fridays at Grace Presbyterian Church, also expanded to Topeka, KS, where volunteers and participants gather at Christ Lutheran Church on Mondays and Thursdays. The programs were launched and organized through the Jayhawk Area on Agency and are directed by Caregiver Support Specialist Michele Dillon.

New communities are also coming along in New Bern, NC; Pensacola, FL; Eau Claire, WI; and Jefferson City, TN
