USDA REAP Webinar

The Office of Congressman James Moylan partnered with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) which coordinated a webinar on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, via Google Teams for Guam businesses to promote their Rural Energy for America Program (REAP).
The REAP provides loan guarantees and grants to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to purchase and install renewable energy systems (RES) and/or to make energy efficiency improvements. Attached is a Fact Sheet outlining the program and the options your business can elect in terms of types of RES’ you can install or improve.
The webinar discusses the program and several of the criteria including the guarantees which USDA can provide. The congressman's office’s objectives are to bring the program to as many business entities in Guam, with the hopes of increasing the number of approvals, which in turn would generate additional dollars that will circulate within the island’s economy. Likewise, with newer energy systems, this would also provide you a savings element with your energy bills. Department of Labor Survey
Take the Survey Today!
The Guam Department of Labor (DOL) and the Guam Workforce Development Board have reached out to seek support from local businesses about workforce development needs. Your response to the following survey will assist the Department in preparing its Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WOIA) State Plan submission for 2024-2027.
The survey link is here and is projected to take 15-30 minutes to complete. The survey will be live till the end of this month, however, DOL hopes to have a strong participation rate within this week so that they can compile and organize the data results.

Mr. Meno spoke to our Armed Forces Committee Members on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the East-West Business Center, about Guam's missile defense system.
