Where's Federico Flying this Weekend?

Dear Abby,

I’m at an impasse between my ego and my architectural duty. As a lifelong fan of Mid-century Modern mastermind Richard Neutra, I was ecstatic to see Ohara House, one of nine residences constructed between 1948 and 1962 for the “Neutra Colony.”

I’ve heard tell of the magic this stunner spins: a veritable trompe-l’œil of nature and sleek design. Open air facades and floor-to-ceiling windows allow unfussy interiors to flow seamlessly into exterior spaces; what’s more, Neutra’s keen eye for light floods each room with a natural glow that harmonizes with the lush garden outside. You see, this is where the ego comes in.

Something — perhaps the water feature incorporated into the front steps or the living room’s rustic open fireplace — mesmerized me and, well… I flew straight into the window. What a cliché. Should I come clean or not mention the Federico-shaped splotch on the patio door?
