Text Messaging For Appointment Reminders

Island Health is very excited to introduce our new automated appointment reminder system coming in late May 2023. This program offers real-time, two-way, HIPAA-compliant text messaging between office staff and our patients.

What makes this new functionality so exciting is that patients will now have an open line of text messaging communication with the front office staff. Patients can send a text asking for directions, notify the office they’re running late, or request to have their appointment rescheduled. We are excited to offer this new program to enhance our patient’s experience and satisfaction.

Please note, for a short time, you may receive multiple appointment reminders as we upgrade to our new system.

We want to hear from you!
