Pastor Melody Kidd pastors ECC in Palm Harbor, FL. Melody was ordained in 1997 by CBF, making her one of our earliest female ordained pastors. She was also endorsed as a CBF Chaplain in 2013.
Melody's engaging message on Sunday came from 1 John 1:1-9 - Inner Work: Washing the Stains. She reminded us that God's light is like the egg candler used to test eggs. God can see inside our lives especially when our lives are held up to God's light. Amen.

As a church partner, individual partner, or both with CBF Fl/CI you are a part of something much greater! Join us as we celebrate our collaboration with 4 very special mission partners. Hear their life-giving stories, encounter their journeys, and find out how you can literally experience and impact their God-given communities.
We hope you will make plans to join us for the entire day as we grow through learning and worshiping together. The morning will be spent with Trina Harris – Touching Miami with Love, Rick and Ellen Burnette – Cultivate Abundance, Jason Coker – Together For Hope and Missy Ward Angalla – Amani Sasa, followed by lunch. We will end our day with a beautiful worship service featuring Francis Angalla as our worship leader and Rev Xiomara Reboyras as our proclaimer. We look forward to seeing you.
Registration Ends April 26, 2024. Cost is $15 for lunch. You may still register on-site the day of, but lunch may not be available.

Four Cuban Baptist groups find common ground in medical ministry | Four Cuban Baptist groups are launching a medical ministry both to address the nation's health care crisis and to help overcome theological differences that divide them, according to an official with the Baptist World Alliance. BWA President Tomás Mackey and BWAid Director Marsha Scipio recently visited the island nation to inspire the organizations to seek...
Just a few more teams ...
... are needed to help us finish the Primera LaBelle project, reports Rick Burnette, Field Personnel, Cultivate Abundance. Hopefully, we can attract more teams to help us finish up this project that will provide much-needed housing for both disaster response and mission engagement teams.
Rick reports, "Since November 2023, we have had the engagement of five teams; FBC Pendleton, SC, Trinity Baptist (Seneca, SC), Crescent Hill Baptist (Louisville, KY), FBC Rome, GA, and the Missouri team made up of members of Englewood Baptist (KC) and 2nd Baptist Liberty. I estimate that these groups have provided approximately $12,000 of the funds needed."
Cultivate Abundance is very grateful for Troy Willingham's pro bono work in developing the building plans needed to request the building permit and for coordinating efforts.
The Primera congregation serves as the core of this project, already providing thousands of dollars while being continually engaged in the efforts.
Finally, CBF Disaster Response has provided access to a fully equipped tool trailer and CBF FL/CI has enabled Kenny Phillips to be available to help coordinate efforts.
Will you consider organizing a team? Rick can be reached at rburnette@cbf.net

Pathlight curriculum
Pathlight is a (free) weekly resource helping children to explore the Good News of Jesus through stories, scripture and activities. This new curriculum presents stories of CBF field personnel, chaplains, churches and pastors, and invites children to grow in their relationships with Jesus and their neighbors.
Each Pathlight download offers an easy-preparation teaching guide with a story, discussion questions and learning activities as well as a take-home sheet for students. Pathlight is also available in Spanish.

Reclaiming Your Community: You Don’t Have to Move Out of Your Neighborhood to Live in a Better One
By Majora Carter
How can we solve the problem of persistent poverty in low-status communities? Majora Carter argues that these areas need a talent-retention strategy, just like the ones companies have.

| BSK is now accepting applications for the Master of Arts in Ministry Studies program, launching in Fall 2024! The program, completed online through live Zoom sessions, is designed for people who want to grow in their calling while remaining in their full-time ministry or professional positions. The 36 hour degree program is centered around the selection of a specialty area by the student in consultation with faculty. Students may select from traditional fields of study or choose an area that is interdisciplinary. The program concludes with a Capstone project or thesis relating to the student’s area of specialization. | |

"As you explore this report, do so with gratitude for the collective impact we've made and with anticipation of the transformative possibilities that lie ahead." Paul Baxley
This year’s theme, “Equipping With Every Good Thing,” is based on Hebrews 13:20-21: "Now may the God of peace … equip you with every good thing to do his will, by developing in us what pleases him through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory forever and always.” The Offering for Global Missions equips the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship with the gifts and passions of 46 Field Personnel in 17 different countries and the United States, spreading the hope of Jesus Christ. When you give to the Offering for Global Missions, you also participate in this mission of Jesus Christ around the world.
This year we have a goal of $4 million. Every gift helps us reach this goal to support the presence of Field Personnel.
