On behalf of the Mighty Oak Student Assembly (MOSA), welcome to ESF!

MOSA is the official undergraduate student government organization at ESF, founded in 1912, a year after the school opened. As we enter our 113th year, we continue to work toward voicing student concerns, ensuring student safety, and improving the overall student experience!

I joined MOSA in my second semester at ESF and, almost three years later, have not looked back . It is truly a joy to work with our students, faculty, and staff who are all dedicated to improving our local and global environments, as the spirit of collaboration is deeply embedded in ESF's core values.

If you see anyone on campus wearing a MOSA sweater or shirt, we are always happy to talk and help you however we can! Congratulations on your admission and, again, welcome to ESF!

Sincerely,

Eden Gardner

In my second year as Head OL, I'm excited to experience it all again with a new group of incoming students! Welcoming everyone to ESF is the highlight of my semester and I can't wait for orientation to start. This year, students can expect an orientation with classic ESF activities, such as tie-dye and Saturday of Service, along with new and exciting opportunities!

Hello! My name is Everett and I’ll be your (other) Head Orientation Leader! Coming to ESF was one of the best decisions of my life! Becoming an OL is a close second! It’s my first year as Head, and I’m incredibly excited to be working with all my friends again, especially incoming students.

Daniel Vera (He/They) is a rising sophomore majoring in Sustainable Energy Management. He is a participant in the LSAMP Research program and holds various leadership roles on campus, including Vice President of the Latin American Student Organization and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Liaison in the Mighty Oak Student Assembly (MOSA). Notably, Daniel has revitalized the MOSAIC Committee (Mighty Oak Student Assembly Intercultural Collective), which serves as a platform for multicultural clubs and organizations to collaborate on campus-wide initiatives. Under his leadership, the committee successfully organized MOSAIC Fest, a SOLAR Award-winning event that celebrated the diversity of intersectional clubs and their cultures, identities, and traditions. This fall, Daniel and the committee will host another iteration of MOSAIC Fest and work to address concerns from diverse students across the campus.
