Season’s Greetings Dear Friends and Supporters,

First, I want to say thank you for your support these last six months as I’ve navigated my way through the day-to-day
operations as Executive Director. The opportunity to lead an
organization that is so passionately committed to the
empowerment of women is something I’m truly thankful and
grateful for.

Being grateful, according to researchers, is healthy for us.
Gratitude helps people feel positive emotions, relish good
experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships. I am grateful for each DFSPB volunteer because you are the glue that keeps the organization together. And I’m grateful for every donor…every board member…every staff person because you’re instrumental in fulfilling our commitment.

As we approach the end of 2022, we reflect on several proud accomplishments for which we are grateful. First and foremost, we have served almost 600 clients so far this year. It’s a number nearing pre-pandemic measure and a rebound sign that the need for DFSPB is as great as ever. We are grateful for all of our funders. Our 2022 Job Readiness program grant funders include Capital One, PNC, Batchelor Foundation, Quantum Foundation, Motorola Solutions, Community Foundation and Jim Moran Foundation. These funders help to make a difference in the lives of the women we serve.

Our Shop for Success Pop-Up Sale at The Square was record-breaking, raising almost $40,000. Our most recent Road to Success session boasted 70% of participants completing the program. And, as I shared at an October gathering of volunteers that featured fellowship, networking, and conversation (along with some bubbly and bites), we’re cultivating new grants and funding sources plus building upon existing partnerships that are contributing to further surpassing our goals. My plan is to host more of these volunteer get-togethers in the coming year where there can be a genuine exchange of information and ideas and share new partnerships. We are grateful for our recent partnership with Serena Williams who donated clothing from her S-Collection; this donation was a great help for our clients.

To this end, as well, Circle of Impact member Cathie Black and her husband Tom Harvey hosted a reception at their home last month for our other major donors. Huge thanks to them and to COI co-chairs Joannie Danielides and Nancy Rizzuto for orchestrating such a special, memorable evening. They’re already percolating with ideas on the next COI event.

What a year we’ve had at Dress for Success Palm Beaches. It’s hard to believe that the year is ending. We had many accomplishments to be proud of over the last year, which include bringing on a new Executive Director, recruiting new board members who have a passion for the mission, hosting our most successful Style For Hope luncheon and Shop for Success sale, and most importantly serving over 500 women from our community. And while reflect on a wonderful year behind us, we know there is still so much to be done and we are focused on the great work ahead of us!

March 10th, 2023

Join Dress for Success Palm Beaches for an inspiring experience as we present our “Style Icon” award to fashion designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka.

Prior to the luncheon, guests will enjoy a fabulous silent auction. We will also hear from a successful Dress for Success client, and present our “HOPE” award to one of our dedicated volunteers.
A limited number of VIP tickets are available for a meet and greet with Badgely and Mischka in the Kravis Center Founders’ Room!

Our 2022 Style Icon, Josie Natori, is our Honorary Chairwoman.

Dress for Success Palm Beaches Circle of Impact members enjoyed our Circle of Impact Member an evening networking and getting to know one another at the home of Circle of Impact member Cathie Black and her husband Tom Harvey.
Cocktails & Conversation Volunteer Appreciation Event
A special thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers who came to the boutique in October for Cocktails & Conversation with the Executive Director. This event enabled volunteers to learn about future initiatives, and was also an open forum to voice any ideas or concerns to improve our organization.

We appreciate our volunteers who are the glue that keeps our organization afloat!
