Lafayette Chamber's Holiday Mixer - THIS THURSDAY!
We look forward to seeing you at our holiday mixer at St. Perpetua Church's new Community Center in The Grand Hall, 3454 Hamlin Road, Lafayette, on Thursday, December 8, 5:30-7:00pm.
REGISTER for a nametag and a ticket to taste wine from Deer Hill Vineyards. You must be registered to participate in the wine tasting experience.
The first 24 new members to register will be entered in our Get to Know our New Members Bingo Game! There are prizes to be won! Email AJ to participate.
Please consider donating to Hope Solutions. Hope Solutions is a charity that St. Perpetua tithes for. It was originally called Contra Costa Interfaith Housing. It was started/founded by multiple faith communities in Contra Costa County to provide supportive housing for families and individuals. They purchased an apartment building in Pleasant Hill and remodeled it and moved in families and provided therapy, job counseling, after school help for the kids and so much more. Their model is so successful that they now provide housing and support services at multiple complexes in Contra Costa County. Hope Solutions is extra special because so many groups in Lafayette were instrumental in its creation and continue to support it.
Hope Solutions’ MHSA and ACCESS program have requested new bedding as a holiday gift. Help Hope Solutions deliver “Bed in a Bag” including comforters and sheets to the residents in the program. Bed in a Bag should be gender neutral and include a comforter, shams, and sheet set. Bedding should be delivered to the holiday mixer on Thursday, December 8 at St. Perpetua or to the Hope Solutions office by Monday, December 12. If you would like to sign up to provide bedding for a resident in the program you can sign up here. If you have any questions about donations, please contact Sandibel Arnold at sarnold@hopesolutions.org.

Assistance League Thrift Shop’s Holiday Attire and Accessories Event Concludes the Holiday Season
If you plan ahead, you could save money twice.
The ever-resourceful member volunteers at Assistance League Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way, Lafayette, advise now that you have met all of your holiday obligations, some well-deserved Me Time is called for. Answer that call by shopping its Holiday Attire and Accessories Event that begins Tuesday, December 6 at 10 a.m. sharp.
This year’s extravaganza includes dresses, sweaters, skirts, blouses, jewelry, shoes and handbags. Volunteers caution that inventory of this caliber rotates daily. The price range hovers around meagre, ranging from a mere $6, and tops at $75. Where else could you beat these prices?
The question is not where else, but when else? On Tuesday, December 13, the prices on remaining inventory will plummet to 50% off. This might merit a return visit, time well spent.
As always, your investment in the form of donations and purchases at Lafayette’s well-known landmark funds 16 hands-on programs that serve those in our community who are vulnerable. To learn more, please visit: Assistanceleague.org/diablo-valley.
