November 2022 Newsletter

Dear FFRW Members and Friends:

What a wonderful Midterm Campaign we had in Florida. Your efforts dispelled the notion that We are a “Swing State” and forever cemented the truth that we are Solidly Red. The Red Wave did sweep over us, thanks in no small part to your hard work. Say what you will about other States and their issues, we did our part better and stronger than any other place in our beloved country.

Our Text Messaging Campaign was a wonderful success. For those who didn’t know we sent text messages out to the 140,000 or so new female Republican registered voters in the 2 weeks before the election. The Text messaging generated 2,433 inquiries to our website. Overall, 11,564 people visited our website, some multiple times for a total of 16,909 sessions. This is amazing. The inquires for membership have been given out to the appropriate clubs and the amount of new members has been impressive. Based on the interest from these new recruits we calculated that there are 19 areas in the state that need new clubs. We are working on it. The National Federation is so impressed that they want to meet with us so we can roll out this marketing plan to other States.

Ladies, now is not the time for recriminations or self doubt about what other States did or should have done. We did our Job and we did it Right. Keep up the hard work. Go to your local School Board meetings, go to your City Council meeting; go to your HOA meeting. Let everyone know, We Are Here and that Republican Values are Florida Values. We Are Florida, they are not.

God Bless America ...... and see you at the Inauguration January 3th, 2023.

DESANTIS WINS BIG!

FLORIDA WINS BIG!

HISTORIC GOP BLOWOUT!

GOVERNOR DESANTIS

20-Point Victory

“I have only begun to fight!”

Governor DeSantis won a historic landslide victory Tuesday night as the state of Florida provided a red tsunami to Republicans at every level from Governor and Cabinet to the Legislature and Congress.

Governor DeSantis gave a Churchillian-level victory speech election night to an ebullient crowd:

“Florida was a refuge of sanity when the world locked down. We stood as a citadel of freedom for people across this country and indeed across the world. We faced attacks, we took the hits, we weathered the storms, but we stood our ground. We did not back down. We had the conviction to guide us, and we had the courage to lead. We made promises to the people of Florida, and we have delivered on those promises. And so today, after four years, the people have delivered their verdict. Freedom is here to stay.”

The victory was as complete and overwhelming as possible and cements Florida not just as a red state, but a leading red state. Exit polls show huge swings among Hispanics and female voters, all age groups over 29, and improvement among black voters, with Governor DeSantis winning almost every demographic.

He won:

· Males (64%)

· Females (53%)

· White (65%)

· Latino (58%)

· Cuban (69%)

· Puerto Rican (56%)

· College grads (56%)

· Married (62%)

· Non-Married (50%)

· Independents (52%)

· Suburban (58%)

SENATOR RUBIO WINS BY 17 POINTS!

Senator Rubio demolished Democrat-media darling Val Demings. She spent almost twice as much money and had the media flogging for her, but all to no avail as Senator Rubio won almost every demographic and also flipped formerly blue counties red.

AND THE GOP WINS CONTINUE!

Literacy is the ability to read and write. Without literacy, we are unable to effectively communicate and we may be unknowingly misled by history books, news articles, and product labels, just to name a few.

One of the most effective institutions promoting literacy is Hillsdale College. Apart from teaching students a classical American education without accepting any government money, Hillsdale has expanded its literacy programs through online courses, Imprimis, Dialogues and through “Member Schools” providing instruction in K-12. Florida has more Member Schools than any other state, which are located in Jacksonville, Melbourne, Naples, Palm Bay, Fleming Island, and Stuart. The success of Hillsdale College is great for American and it's great for Florida.

DID YOU KNOW...

The annual tradition of pardoning the White House Thanksgiving turkey didn't officially begin until 1989, with President George H.W. Bush. And it was President Kennedy who let the first bird off the hook when he quipped in 1963, “We’ll just let this one grow. It’s our Thanksgiving present to him.”

May We Never Forget Veterans Day November 11th

The focal point of reverence, being the hillside overlooking the Potomac River and Washington D.C., began in 1921 when an unknown soldier was buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Similar ceremonies took place where an unknown soldier was buried in each nation’s highest place of honor as in England’s Westminster Abbey and in France at the Arc de Triomphe. All took place November 11th at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month and was known as “Armistice Day”, officially receiving its name through a joint resolution of Congress in 1926. It was later celebrated as a holiday 12 years later through similar Congressional action.

The “War to end all wars” did not hold as World War II broke out and Four hundred thousand of the sixteen and one half million soldiers who were involved in this war paid the ultimate price. Armistice Day was eventually changed in 1947 to Veterans’ Day to honor all veterans. The first celebration of Veterans Day occurred in Birmingham, Alabama. Raymond Weeks, WW11 veteran, organized “National Veterans Day”.

Later, in 1954, Armistice Day was officially renamed Veterans Day and celebrated with parades and festivities. More unidentified remains of soldiers from 1958 were brought on Memorial Day to be buried. Eventually more followed. The official ceremonies (focal point) for this day are at the memorial amphitheater built around the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

November 11th is the day for the memorialization which begins at 11 a.m. with the color guard and a tribute to the war dead with the laying of the presidential wreath and the bugle playing taps.  Local ceremonies from various states and territories are coordinated with the governors along with the cooperation of the National Committee and the Department of Defense.

Have you recovered from Election involvement yet? What a great success we had in many areas of Florida, but some areas still need our work. As we move forward to 2023, let us get excited about growing our clubs and getting organized for the next election cycle.

FFRW has many leads for our clubs through the text campaign program we launched around the last election. Can you help to reach out to those ladies who want to join a local chapter?? How about helping to start a club in an area that is badly in need of a club? Your District Rep can always use experienced members to assist a new group wanting to form a club! So let’s make membership a high priority as we celebrate the holiday season and prepare for 2023!

Renew, Renew, Renew!

Help your current members to remember to renew their membership in your club. Remind members that their renewal is really three memberships in one, local, state and national federated organizations.

*Maybe put renewed memberships in a jar and have a drawing at your Christmas party of first January meeting for a free meal?

*Send out cute invoices or have them at their table setting at the next meeting with “You

are an important part of our club, please renew your membership”.

*Host a Holiday Happy Hour and invite a prospect! Who doesn’t love a festive cocktail

and new friends??

*Don’t forget when doing a holiday community service project to look for prospects!

*December dates:

December 19, 2022—1st day of Hanukkah

December 24, 2022—Christmas Eve

December 25, 2022—Christmas Day

December 26, 2022—Kwanzaa

December 32, 2022—New Year’s Eve

Let us enjoy our time together with family and friends! Rest up and then make a resolution to get even more involved in your local clubs! The victory we had in November didn’t come without a lot of hard work together. We can make our state a deep red! We can be better informed, organized and motivated, but it is more fun together! Let us not let FFRW be the best kept secret in our state. The Dems need to fear the red jackets!!!

Keeping the Florida Red!
