Friends of Hollywood Central Park Received Over $3 Million From US Department of Transportation (USDOT)

We are delighted to share some fantastic news with our community! Friends of The Hollywood Central Park (FTHCP) has been awarded a significant grant totaling over $3 million from the US Department of Transportation (USDOT). This grant, specifically under the Reconnecting Communities NAE funding, amounts to $3,599,760.

California Consulting Lands Several Awards for Clients in March

Exciting news! Peninsula Family Services has been awarded $2,734,761 in grant funding from the California Department of Social Services FY 22-23 General Child Care and Development Program Expansion Funds. CC Project Manager Christine Stanely wrote the winning application. This significant grant will empower the City of Daly City and the City of Redwood City. Congratulations to everyone!


Fantastic news! The City of Nevada City has been granted $250,000 from the California Volunteers: Connecting Neighbors to Neighbors Grant Program. This funding will strengthen community bonds and enable vital initiatives to foster connections among neighbors, enhancing the quality of life for all residents. CC Project Manager Karen Leventhal wrote the winning application

The City of Vacaville receives $100,000 from the Habitat Conservation Fund Grant Program. CC Project Manager Karen Simpson wrote the winning application in collaboration with the city administration. This funding will support vital conservation efforts, preserving local habitats and enhancing the natural environment for generations to come.


Dr. Julie High Wins $80 Million in Grant Awards for California Consulting Clients

We're thrilled to recognize a momentous accomplishment as we honor Dr. Julie High's remarkable seven-year journey with California Consulting. Throughout her tenure, Julie has showcased unparalleled dedication and expertise, culminating in the successful securing of 122 applications, totaling an impressive $80,116,110.00 in grant funding.

US DOJ COPS: Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act (LEMHWA) Program

Deadline: April 30, 2024

Eligibility: All local, state, territorial, and tribal law enforcement agencies that have primary law enforcement authority 

Amount: There is approximately $9.8 million in funding available through the FY 2024 LEMHWA implementation projects. Each award is two years (24 months) in duration for a maximum of $200,000 per award.

Cal OES: Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP)

Deadline: sub-applications are due June 10

Amount: Project max is unspecified. $150,000 for single jurisdiction plan, $250,000 for multi-jurisdiction plan.

Match: Generally, HMA funds may be used to pay up to 75% of the eligible activity costs. The remaining 25% of eligible activity costs are derived from non-Federal sources

CA Dept. Of Education: Tobacco-Use Prevention Education: Grades 6-12 Tier 1 Cohort T

Deadline: May 3, 2024

Eligible Applicants: local educational agencies

Required Eligibility Criteria: Local educational agencies must be certified as tobacco-free by July 1, 2024. Funding is available to school districts, direct-funded charter schools, consortium leads, and county offices of education that serve students in grades six through twelve.

CA Dept of Education Funding: Specialized Secondary Programs (SSP) Grant 2024-25

Deadline: May 29th, 2024

Amount: Up to $100,000

Match: No

Eligibility: The proposed SSP must be new to the identified school site(s) and will provide students with advanced instruction and training in high technology fields and in the performing arts in grades nine through twelve. All California public high schools, county offices of education, consortium of local educational agencies (LEAs), and direct-funded charter schools are eligible to apply.
