Fall 2022 Newsletter
Hello Friends of Finley’s,

We hope you all had a GREAT summer and are now looking forward to the fall season and upcoming holidays. Fall is a great time for landscapes as warm soil temperatures encourage root growth – more so than in the spring when the soil is still warming up. Additionally, the shorter days and cooler air temperatures means plants spend less energy on growing foliage and flowers and more energy on building a strong root system in preparation for winter.
HERE's WHAT's NEW...
LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION DIVISION
Pumpkin Spice season is just around the corner, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to add a stylish new fire pit, custom built outdoor BBQ or living space to your landscape. With family coming to visit it’s a great idea to create a comfortable, yet stylish place for your loved ones to get together. At Finley’s Tree & Landcare Inc, we can think of nothing better than roasting a few marshmallows over a warm open flame! Contact Finley’s today for a no-cost consultation with one of our landscape construction project managers. We’ll be happy to help you work through a plan that optimizes your space while maximizing your budget.

H-2-OH-NO!
With various ordinances in-place for most local municipalities and water districts, conserving water is no longer an option, it has become a way of life. The following are ideas and suggestions for minimizing water while maximizing your landscape.

Over-Head vs. Drip Irrigation
Unless you’re watering turf, drip irrigation is the recommended method for irrigating your landscape. Drip irrigation uses less water, incurs less water waste, requires less maintenance, less psi, and can irrigate a larger area per valve.

Contact Finley’s today to schedule a consultation for converting your existing system to drip.

DROUGHT TOLERANT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE BEAUTY INTOLERANT
Drought tolerant landscapes offer a unique, natural, and low-cost maintenance alternative to turf. Not only do drought tolerant landscapes require less water, but the require less maintenance – no mowing, no sprinkler repairs, no scalping and re-seeding. Fall is the perfect time for planting. Contact Finley’s today to schedule a consultation with one of our landscape construction project managers and they’ll be happy to help transform your landscape into something sustainable for the future.

SYNTHETIC TURF
Thinking of making the switch? Synthetic turf has come a long way since the days of that matted down “rug like” Astro turf. Today’s turf is almost indistinguishable from the real thing. From pile height, density, coloring and more, there are a wide array of options for clients to consider. Contact Finley’s today for a review of samples and options for transitioning your existing lawn to synthetic turf.

TREE CARE DIVISION
“TREE SEASON” IS UPON US
Fall is the official commencement of the tree trimming season. Our calendars are filling-up fast and we encourage you to give Finley’s a call well in advance of your holiday get togethers. A professionally executed trim of your trees offers an instant aesthetic improvement to your landscape.

In addition to the aesthetic improvements, trimming your trees prior to the winter season reduces the chance of limb failure, debris accumulation, and better prepares some species for dormancy. Call Finley’s today to reserve a spot on our schedule.
