As the leaves of summer transform into their autumn hues, our beloved sailboats and motor yachts one by one find new (but temporary) homes on land and in the water for this year's looming winter storage season.
Dry storage haul-outs have begun steadily as vessels make their way to allocated areas in the boatyards of Haven Harbour Marina and Haven Harbour South via the guidance of knowledgeable and experienced lift crews.
Other vessels will be wet storing throughout the coming months, and have already begun the process of preparing onboard systems for in-water winterization.
"We dry store around 220 vessels and about 30 more in the water each year here at Haven Harbour Marina," said Director of Service Greta Sommers.
At Haven Harbour South, roughly 130 vessels call its boatyard home each winter, with several more taking up slips for wet storage.

As a reminder, we kindly ask that perishable food items be removed from storing vessels prior to haul-out. For items that may not be accepted by local food banks, such as certain liquids, please take home – or consider leaving in our service offices as form of donation to the technicians working tirelessly to ready us for winter storage season.
