The NCCP Congregational Engagement Process, Summer 2022, has nearly been completed. Don’t miss this great summertime opportunity for your Session, church leaders, committees and staff to reflect together about your ministry, mission and the changes taking place within and around your community of faith.
Your congregation’s responses, due September 5th, 2022, to Data and Communications Manager, Tayler Stone, cdmanager@nccpresby.org will be used to help set presbytery priorities regarding programmatic and financial resources for the coming few years.
Take some time. Reflect on your church’s experience. Help shape the way forward for North Central California Presbytery

An Important Note From Our Treasurer
|
|
Did you know that our Book of Order (G-3.0113) requires that all churches have an annual financial review? Some churches faithfully comply each year. Some haven't done a financial review for years. There are two options: hire an outside auditor or do it internally. An outside auditor can be expensive.
The alternative is to use the excellent PC(USA) resource guide to this process, which is available upon request from Treasurer John Arthur.
The self-review requires several volunteers, hopefully with some financial familiarity. If you'd like some assistance, Treasurer John Arthur and/or former Treasurer Jim Stochl are able to guide you through the process. The financial review may be started as soon as the books are closed for the previous year. For example, the financial review for the 2021 should already be completed or in the works.
The presbytery will begin tracking the church financial reviews this year. Since it is already a requirement by the Book of Order, the presbytery may begin requiring compliance as a condition for approving grant requests. Please contact John or Jim if you would like assistance in completing the annual financial review.

New Mental Health Emergency Number
|
|
With mental health issues on the rise, among the young and old,
many of us will be in a position
to notice the distress of another, be it a family member, neighbor, friend, or ourselves.
This new national emergency number will connect the caller to professional resources
and should be a number we all remember and be prepared to share as needed.
