BCF Honors Local Philanthropists

It is always inspiring to learn about those who genuinely care about the well-being of people in our community and beyond. Some donate their time and some donate their financial resources, but regardless of how they contribute, they focus on making life just a little bit better for everyone.

Every year, Bainbridge Community Foundation honors their stories at a Philanthropy Celebration. Their inspiring acts of giving—often realized through the work of nonprofits—lay a strong foundation for others to follow in their footsteps.

Last night, BCF was honored to recognize four individuals and groups and give out three awards at its Philanthropy Celebration. The descriptions of each award is below. To learn more about each of the awardees, visit our website here.

Thank you to Windermere Commercial and Fieldstone Communities for underwriting BCF's 2022 Philanthropy Celebration!

BCF Hosts Trainings for Nonprofits

Every year since 2012, BCF conducts an Annual Nonprofit Survey and asks nonprofits about their training needs. Nonprofits consistently respond that Marketing/Communications and Advanced Fundraising are in the top 3-4 areas in which they want training. In order to respond to this feedback, BCF has hired Common Great this fall to provide free trainings for nonprofits in our community.

The first training on Advanced Fundraising took place on Thursday, October 27th at BCF offices with a hybrid option, and the second training on Marketing/Communications will take place on Thursday, November 10th.
