Dear Rising Tide Students and Families,

We are so proud of our seniors! It was special to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2024 at our 10th graduation on Friday afternoon.

We hope to see many of you at our Arts Night this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. We also hope to see many of our 8th grade families at the Civics Presentations on Wednesday morning.

Monday, June 3: Rising Tide’s Junior Classical League (JCL) hosted its annual Classics Night this afternoon after school.

Tuesday, June 4 and Wednesday, June 5: Students in grade 9 (and some in grades 10 and 11) will participate in the High School Science MCAS test.

Wednesday, June 5: Grade 8 students will give their Civics Presentations for classmates, teachers, and parents/guardians.

Wednesday, June 5: Rising Tide will host Arts Night at 6:00 pm to showcase the work from our second semester art students. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m.

Thursday, June 6: Rising Tide will host a Virtual Information Session and Q&A at 7:00 p.m. to share information about the school's curriculum and programs to prospective upper school families. Prospective students and their families interested in applying to Rising Tide can join the Virtual Session via Zoom here.

Friday, June 7: Rising Tide will host a Semi-Formal Dance for students in grades 7 and 8 at Rising Tide.

Monday, June 10: Grade 5 students will participate in a field trip to Heritage Gardens in Sandwich for a day of exploring local connections to their classroom.

Wednesday, June 12: Middle School Field Day will be held from 7:45 am to noon.

Wednesday, June 12: Rising Tide will host a Coffee & Conversation at 8:30 am to share information about the school's curriculum and programs to prospective upper school families. RSVP here.

Wednesday, June 12: There will be an information meeting for grade 7 students and their families who are interested in applying for the grade 8 Italy trip in April 2025. The meeting will be held at Rising Tide at 6:30 pm.

Thursday, June 13: Grade 7 students will be visiting Plymouth Long Beach for a day of exploring local connections to the classroom.

Friday, June 14: Grade 8 students will spend the day at College Pond, celebrating the end of grade 8 and participating in end-of-year advisory activities.

Monday, June 17: An Eighth-Grade End-of-Year Celebration will take place at 5:30 pm in the Atrium at Rising Tide.

Monday, June 17: The Rising Tide Board of Trustees will have its monthly at 7:00 pm. This meeting is open to the public.

Tuesday, June 18: Last day of school. Early release day.

Important Updates for Grade 8 Families

Civics Presentation This Wednesday

This Wednesday morning, June 5th, students in grade eight will be presenting their group research projects for Civics class. Parents and guardians are welcome to join us for this event during the school day on Wednesday, between 8:05-10:30am. Parents have received individual emails with their child's presentation time.

Join Us for an End-of-Year Celebration

The 8th grade team invites students and families of eighth graders to an End-of-Year Celebration on June 17th at 5:30 pm. This very special event will include Benchmark Awards, handing out of certificates, as well as a slideshow featuring photos taken throughout the students' middle school career at Rising Tide. After the ceremony, there will be drinks and cake. We hope you can join us!

7th & 8th Grade Social is this Friday

Rising Tide's 7th & 8th Grade Social will be held on Friday, June 7 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The theme is "Night Under the Stars". Tickets are $5 each and will be sold during lunch this week. Tickets need to be purchased in advance as they will not be sold at the door the night of the social.

Upper School Final Exams Begin Next Week

Final exams for upper school students begin next week. Please click here to see the full schedule. Make sure you are well prepared by having your study materials ready and study early. Get a good night's sleep before your exams and eat breakfast. Bring water and snacks and be on time!

Prom Pictures Available

Rising Tide's Junior & Senior Prom took place on May 10th at Waverly Oaks Golf Club in Plymouth. A professional photographer attended and took many photos. You can view and purchase photos here.

Rising Tide's Aviation Program Featured in the News

Rising Tide's Aviation Maintenance Pathways Program, a collaboration with Cape Cod Community College, is wrapping up its first year and looking ahead to the fall. A reporter from the Plymouth Independent visited the class last Wednesday and wrote a nice article about the program. Read the full article here.

Registration for Fall Sports is Now Open

Students interested in trying out for a fall sport can now register here. Next fall, we will be sponsoring the following sports:

Boys' Varsity Soccer (8th-12th grade) & Middle School (6th-8th grade)

Girls' Varsity Soccer (8th-12th grade) & Middle School (6th-8th grade)

Co-Ed Golf (6th-12th grade)

Volleyball (7th-12th grade)

Boys' & Girls' Cross Country (6th-12th grade)

Dance Team (6th-12th grade)

JV and varsity try-outs begin on Monday, August 19th. We will be hosting a Fall Meet-the-Coaches Night in August at Rising Tide. Any student athlete interested in trying out for a fall sports should attend, along with any family members. 

Rising Tide Additional Enrollment Period for the 2024-2025 School Year Closes on Friday, June 14th

Rising Tide's additional enrollment period for the 2024-2025 school year is open now through Friday, June 14, 2024. The school currently has limited seats available for grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 and is therefore accepting applications for only those grades. Interested families can apply online here or download an application here.

Enrollment applications are due by Friday, June 14, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. All applicants, including siblings of current students, must submit the one-page application by the deadline to be eligible for enrollment.

Rising Tide currently has waiting lists in grades 5-8, determined through the Primary Enrollment Lottery held on February 15, 2024; therefore the school is not able to accept applications for grades 5-8 in this additional enrollment period.

Celebrating Our Seniors with A Send-Off

Last Wednesday was our seniors' last academic day of high school. Rising Tide’s student body, faculty, staff, and parents gathered to cheer on the seniors as they paraded out of the school on their last day as high school students.

Commencement Ceremony Held on Friday

On Friday, Rising Tide held the Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2024 at Memorial Hall in Plymouth. The school held an Awards Night the evening before graduation. Please click here to view the list of seniors who were honored during Awards Night. Congratulations to the Class of 2024!
