As May comes to a close, I have been reflecting on what a fantastic month it has been. From our senior leadership attending the Boys & Girls Clubs of America 118th Annual National Conference, to our 22nd Annual Great Futures for Kids Breakfast which raised over $155,000 and counting, to finalizing all the exciting summer day camp programs for our members.
But I want to take a moment to highlight a very special week of May: National Prevention Week. It serves as a public education platform to promote the work of communities and organizations across the country that are preventing substance use and promoting positive mental health.
I'm exceptionally proud of our teens who actively participate in our Brent's Club programming year-round, several of whom helped create this video showcasing why they choose sobriety, plus healthy alternatives they choose instead of doing drugs.
