Giving Tuesday is tomorrow and the Westshore District Foundation is hoping to raise $1,000 to support the creation of new artwork for Westshore. We have a mural currently in progress at Roland Park K-9 Magnet School which we plan to unveil next month. Our Kinetic Ring sculpture will be restored and moved to a permanent home in 2025. We believe that these public art projects have the power to uplift spirits and foster a sense of unity in our community, and we’re asking for your help in making these projects a reality. WestShore Plaza Owners Buy Final Piece for Redevelopment

The owner of WestShore Plaza has acquired the Macy's Inc. department store — the last remaining piece of the property that it did not own. WPG, a privately held real estate investment trust based in Ohio, paid $10 million for the department store in October, Hillsborough County property records show. MORE

Concepts for median improvements on West Shore Blvd

These concepts are for the medians between Kennedy and Gray, and Cypress and Spruce. Two medians north of Cypress will have midblock pedestrian crossings. Medians that do not have landscape pits would have public art that reflects the Westshore color pallet and future design concepts being put into the Westshore Interchange.

These improvements would be made after Hillsborough County completes the roadway resurfacing of West Shore in early/mid 2025. The design includes plantings along the east side sidewalk as a demonstration, but not as part of the initial scope of the project. See design concepts here.
