Chapel Project for 2nd Quarter:

Operation Christmas Child

Our second quarter chapel offerings will continue to support Operation Christmas Child.

Below, students worked in class this week to assemble the Shoeboxes that will go to Operation Christmas Child.

Collection drop-off yesterday with Mr. Topp! Thank you to the students and families for contributing to our collections this week! We delivered 41 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes at a local delivery point and then delivered Community Kitchen items to AT&T Field to support the Moody Christian Radio collection event.

Thank you for supporting efforts to bring a brighter Thanksgiving and Christmas to those in need!

A Gift of True Sacrifice and Friendship!

Over the past few years, Jamie Sunderland, BCA’s RTI (Response to Intervention) Specialist, shared ongoing updates of her long-time battle with acute kidney disease. Over time, Ms. Jamie’s condition has become dire to the point of needing a kidney transplant or succumb to weekly dialysis. Now, that is no longer a dreaded need – Ms. Jamie is going to receive the transplant! And it is not from an unknown organ donor, but from a BCA family and friend, Chrissy Percy, our PTL President and parent of Cruz (1st grade) and Brooklyn (2nd grade).

Since the time of this interview, Chrissy has taken the required medical steps to ensure that her kidney will be a match for Ms. Jamie. This was confirmed in earlier this month, and with final testing, the transplant will take place Jan. 3, 2023.

This is truly an answer to prayer, thanks to many people in our school and community who have been praying. As the procedure approaches, and following the transplant, we will update families on Ms. Jamie’s and Chrissy's progression. Please continue praying for these ladies and their families as they undergo this life-changing surgery.

Candy Cane Shop

Dec. 5 - 9

Lead Coordinator Needed!

The annual PTL Candy Cane Shop is just around the corner! This is a fun-filled week of Christmas shopping for all of the students at BCA - Infants - 8th grade.

A Christmas "store" will be set up in the multi-purpose room (behind the gym) with tables full of items for men, women, children, pets and home decor. Children will have the opportunity to shop with their classmates one day during the week.

This year, we are in need of a Coordinator to lead the efforts of the shop. This person would oversee the set-up of the store and make sure enough items are available for students to shop for each day. Additionally, this person would oversee supplies needed to run the shop and communicate with teachers about class shopping schedules, as well as coordinate volunteers to help during the week.

Volunteers

Volunteers will be needed to help the lead coordinator each day that week to help the children shop and wrap presents.

If you are willing to lead the Candy Cane Shop, please contact PTL President, Chrissy Percy at 423-618-3377.

Thank you for considering how you can help make this annual holiday tradition super fun for our students!
