Poinsettias for Christmas

An Epiphany Advent Tradition

$10/each - Order Forms Available this Sunday

Every year the Altar Guild at Epiphany decorates our church with poinsettia plants in celebration of the Christmas season. These plants are purchased by members and friends to remember special people in their lives. The poinsettias will be displayed starting on Christmas Eve. They can be picked up and enjoyed at home any time after the service on the morning of Christmas Day. If you are interested in purchasing a plant, the cost is still only $10. Order forms will be available in the welcome center starting on November 27, 2022, until all the poinsettias are sold.

For more information, don't hesitate to contact Kitty Darlow at 713-410-1576 or kittydarlow@gmail.com.

Host Family Needed

Looking for a family to host a student teacher

January 7, 2023, through February 25, 2023

We are very excited to welcome our next student in 2023! We will partner with Concordia University Texas once again to provide a learning experience for a Lutheran teacher candidate. This candidate will spend 7 weeks in our early elementary grades as a necessary requirement to complete their educator program.

We need your help! We are looking for a family to host this young lady during her time at Epiphany. According to CTX, A great host family is one that is connected to the school or church. The host family would have a private room for the clinical teacher and invite the clinical teacher to participate in family activities without pressure. The dates for hosting are January 7, 2023 through February 25, 2023.

If you or someone you know would be willing to host, please email Jon Fraker at jfraker@elcsh.org or call the school office at 713-896-1843.
