CONCORD COMMUNITY CRAFT FAIR - November 19 - 9AM-2PM - Make plans to attend the Craft Fair in the Worship Center on Saturday, November 19. There will be 50+ booths with hand crafted artisan items. as well as food, baked goods and apple butter. Sponsored by the United Women in Faith.


THE SHOPPES OF CONCORD - Sunday, November 20 - 9:30AM-12:30PM - Support the many ministries of Concord United while shopping for Christmas gifts! Included: baked goods, calendars, handmade items, apple sauce and apple butter. Hot homemade breakfast, homemade country ham biscuits, sausage balls and more will be available for purchase.

Each day, your generosity changes lives and blesses our community. To fully support transformative ministry in 2023, our goal is to have over 300 pledges for a total of $1.7 million. To date, we have received 171 pledges for $1,072,279. SHEPHERD OF HOPE FOOD PANTRY


The pantry is open every first and third Monday. All are welcome! In November, our guest will be receiving additional items for their Thanksgiving meal. Thank you to all who have donated food or money. Your generosity is a blessing to many!


HOLIDAY FOOD PANTRY NEEDS - Canned Cranberry Sauce, Canned Yams (29 oz.), Boxed Instant Mashed Potatoes, Brown Sugar (1 or 2 lbs), Coffee (11-30 oz.), Tea bags (no designer teas), Baking Mix (40 oz ie. Bisquick), Brownie Mix (Family Size)


FUND THE FEAST FOR THE FAMILIES - Donate $40 to help fund purchase of turkeys and fresh vegetables for families to get from the pantry for their Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. Donations can be made at concordunited.org/giving and selecting holiday meals.

SPONSOR A CHILD FOR CHRISTMAS - We have officially entered the Christmas season and Kicked off TREKK (Teaching, Reaching, and Equipping Knoxville Kids). Throughout the year we help support students with school supplies, clothes and other everyday needs. For Christmas we will be partnering with Cedar Bluff elementary school and the Wesley House to provide Christmas gifts for families in the community. Last year our church family generously sponsored over 150 families. We have reached out to both Cedar Bluff and Wesley House for wish lists, which should be arriving soon. TOY COLLECTION FOR CHILDREN OF MORGAN/SCOTT COUNTIES - The children of Morgan and Scott Counties have very little. The United are sponsoring a Christmas toy drive to help make the season more joyful for them. You can help by donating NEW toys (retail value less than $25) for children ages birth –18 yrs. Cash and all size batteries will also help. NO candy. Donation can be dropped off on the silver racks located around the church until December 10.

ADVENT BIBLE READING PLAN - Pick up your Bible Reading Plan this week at church. There will be copies available at the Welcome Center and through out the church or click here to print one today.


ADVENT BY CANDLELIGHT - Please join us Tuesday, November 29 at 6:45 pm in the Worship Center to begin the Advent season celebrating the birth of Jesus. The evening will be filled with wonderful fellowship, music, light dessert, coffee, tea and beautifully decorated tables. This event is open to all women of the church, you do not need to belong to any circle. Remember to come early to see all those decorated tables and visit with your friends. There are two ways to sign up - 1) Table Host- You will host a table of 10, information will be attached OR 2) Individually- signing up for yourself, we will find the perfect spot for you. ADVENT SMALL GROUP STUDY - Concord is using Adam Hamilton’s book, Incarnation: Rediscovering the Significance of Christmas, this Advent season. The sermon series will follow the topics addressed in this book. Books are available to individuals to use during Advent. Also we have groups reading and discussing this book, for a complete list, go to ConcordUnited.org/Christmas. You may purchase a book at the Welcome Center or outside Pastor Brooke’s office. The cost is $10 per book.

Students can sign up to audition on November 20 at 4pm. High schoolers are encouraged to sign up for a leadership role. BREAKFAST WITH SANTA - Saturday, December 10 - 8:30-11:00 AM - Join Santa for breakfast in our worship center. There will be all types of activities, selfies with Santa, crafts, reindeer food, music with Pastor Larry and story time. Cost: $5 per person. Click here to purchase tickets.

6:30 PM - Wednesday Night Students - All 6th-12th graders are invited to fellowship, worship and small group 

Please join us this Sunday. The children will learn that David leads a parade to bring the Ark of the Lord back to Israel. It’s a big celebration, with music and dancing. David is wearing clothes that make him not look like a king, and his wife isn’t happy. But David knows that God is praiseworthy, so we celebrate him.
