Hello, Prescott Public Library Patrons -
Last month I took a few accumulated vacation days and took a road trip to Globe. We took the “long” way—through Payson, down Highway 188, past Theodore Roosevelt Lake and on into Globe. Not being on a timeline meant that we had time to stop by the Tonto Natural Bridge. We were able to see the travertine bridge and the waterfall. The weather was great. Warm enough for a picnic--in February!
Driving the less-travelled road gave us a chance to really take in the scenery and appreciate again what a diverse state Arizona is. Our object for this trip was to visit the Boyce-Thompson Arboretum. One of those “always wanted to visit” places for us. Again, the wonderful weather made a great day for a visit. The multiple specimens from different parts of the world were fascinating.
One of the great things is that we were able to take advantage of the Culture Pass program at the library for free admission tickets to the Arboretum! If you aren’t aware of the Culture Pass program, you should check it out. And don’t forget our wide variety of travel guides to help you plan your next trip. Wherever your travels take you, I’ll see you at the library.
