Thank You from a Happy Shopper
We received an incredibly touching email from a mom who shopped for her family in September. She asked us to share her thanks with our volunteers and donors:

"The smiles of my children after receiving these wonderful clothing items are etched in my heart forever. My little first grader [pictured here] especially. She's been so nervous getting out of the car at school drop-off lately. A girl as smart as she is, reading above her grade level, a sweet friend to all, should not need to feel self-conscious at 7 years old. You have given her something she wouldn't have access to at this time in her life without you. Your kindness and generosity helped a little girl jump out of the car with confidence and a beaming smile ear to ear. I needed to share and show you the goodness you've rippled into the world. I pray there will be a day I can volunteer with you. Until then my hands are empty, but my heart is so so so very full of gratitude and joy. Thank you - a million times - thank you."
New Shoes All Around!
In early August we sent out a desperate plea for shoes on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages. Our community's generous response to this request has been incredible!
These sweet siblings and their mom made a Target run immediately after seeing our request.
Andy delivered several pairs of new athletic shoes he ordered from Amazon...twice!
This "sneaker head" brought us several brand new pairs from his impressive collection.
Even with this generous outpouring of support from our community, we continue to remain low on shoes due to the recent back-to-school rush. We can use any shoes kids size 8T-adult that are in good condition and suitable for school. Our most popular styles are athletic (i.e., tennis, basketball, running, skate, etc.), slip-ons (i.e., Vans), canvas (i.e., Converse or Toms), flats and boots (all types - fashion and winter). Right now, we are especially in need of athletic styles for boys and young men. We are currently accepting clothing donations on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. For a full list of items we accept, please visit the Clothing & Shoe Donations page of our website. Thank you!
Thanks for a Great Blue Jean Bash!

More than 350 guests helped us celebrate our eighth annual Blue Jean Bash on September 15, 2022. Thanks to our sponsors, auction donors and those who gave in the special appeal, we raised nearly $250,000 (and counting!) for Clothes To Kids of Denver.
Special thanks to Band Kamp, Joyce Meyers, Tom Kimball, Pat Meyers and Paula Woodman for going above and beyond to make the evening so memorable!

We had a very photogenic crowd this year, so be sure to also check out our Shutterfly Photo Share Page to view and download photos from the event.
Cheers to our Blue Jean Bash Committee!

Sharing the Love

The Windsor Gardens Optimist Club collected 50 backpacks plus a carload of school supplies for our shoppers. In addition to supporting our shoppers, this wonderful group has adopted Place Bridge Academy and are volunteering there to provide mentoring, tutoring and library support.

Our good friends from long-time sponsor Liberty Media dropped off the items from their annual back-to-school drive. They donated 158 pairs of brand new shoes plus more than 300 pairs of new socks. They couldn’t have come at a better time!

The fabulous staff at Vans Cherry Creek Shopping Center continues to support our organization with gently used shoes each month. Our shoppers love them!

A huge thank you to our sweet friend Charlene Andrew for her sixth annual donation of crocheted hats. We counted 150 this year...one of her largest donations ever! Charlene spends an entire year making these to donate for our fall and winter shoppers, who are always so excited to have something so beautiful and thoughtfully handmade.

During September we had the pleasure of meeting several groups of New York Life Insurance Company employees who have helped us in so many ways. They organized, sorted, hung clothes, cleaned the racks, took out trash. You name it, they did it!

A huge thank you to Sue and her neighbors in Willow Creek in Centennial for this amazing donation. So many beautiful items, all pre-sorted and ready for our shoppers to take home!

Garb Inc. continues to support us with regular donations of brand new shirts, shorts and dresses, plus fun extras like hats. They have been a consistent donor since we first opened in 2008, and their items always fly off the racks!
