Indiana Road to Zero Academy Coming in January!

Join us on January 10, 2023, for an interactive webinar about the launch of Health by Design’s Indiana Road to Zero Academy. This webinar will provide a preview of the Academy, its content, intended audiences and objectives. We’ll also discuss Road to Zero and Safe System principles. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions about the Academy, find out who should attend, what to expect for learning outcomes and how to apply them in your community.

The Academy is made possible in part by a Community Traffic Safety Grant awarded to Health by Design from Road to Zero. Funded by NHTSA, these grants support projects, programs, and research that put the Road to Zero strategy into practice and help achieve the mission of zero traffic deaths.

Stay tuned for registration links!

INDOT Updating Planning Public Involvement Plan

INDOT is updating the Planning Public Involvement Plan (PPIP) and is seeking feedback. This PPIP update emphasizes the importance of public outreach and engagement as INDOT plans for the future of the state’s transportation infrastructure and serves to guide planning efforts to ensure that a high level of public engagement is achieved agencywide.

The PPIP requires joint approval with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) following a minimum 45-day public comment and document review period. The public comment period is open from November 30, 2022 – January 14, 2023. Click here to comment!

To obtain a printed version of the PPIP, you can contact INDOT using the information below. For a translated plan or to receive any other assistance related to accessing the document, please contact INDOT.
