None of us like to think that there's an emergency in our future. But in reality, that's sometimes the case. Fortunately, there are things we can all do to help ensure a positive outcome.
In partnership with Scottsdale's Area Association of Realtors, Scottsdale Police and Fire Departments offer a "Lockbox for Seniors" program. VM III's Neighborhood Watch team will be providing you with information about this important program in the near future.
However, to complement the City's initiative, VM III has developed an additional program. The "Trusted Neighbor Key Program" promotes assistance in instances where there is an emergency and access is needed to the home.
We all have that special neighbor whom we trust and consider a friend. In many cases, we've given them a key to our home should they need to enter. In the past, that information was known only by the homeowner and the neighbor. VM III's Trusted Neighbor Key Program will now record that information and securely hold it until needed. The file is only available to VM III's Neighborhood Watch representatives and board members.
So, how can you participate? You simply need to call or email the information, which will be added to the HOA's existing "Emergency Contact File."
