United Methodist General Conference

The long-awaited 2020 General Conference concluded on Friday. If you followed the 2-week event, you know there was a lot of legislation being discussed. Here is a helpful legislative recap from the event.

Some of the high-impact approved legislation include support of Worldwide Regionalization, which will now go before annual conference voters for potential ratification, as well as updates to the Book of Discipline and Social Principals to promote inclusion and acceptance.

United Women in Faith “Mile of Pennies” Drive

UWF will collect them during coffee hours on June 2. Thank you to all who have donated so far!

The Associates of New Entra Casa are sponsoring an annual celebration in June and are asking for donations of pennies. The idea is to reach a “Mile of Pennies” as a means to defray the cost of the event. New Entra Casa is a home and program for women working towards becoming free from addictions and in many cases, reuniting with their children.
