A Message From Our Principal

Dear St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Alumnus,

The following that we have developed over the last six months is such a testament to the bond that you, our alumni, have established with the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton community. We invite you to reach out to friends and share with them the excitement you have found in this reconnection.

I am proud to announce that you have classmates that have found a new place at St. Elizabeth. Karista McCarley will be entering her third year as an Instructional Aide. She stepped in as our elementary Tech teacher last year, and will use her artistic talents to share with students in the year ahead. Kathleen Donovan has taken on the role as Assistant Extended Day Director. She has worked to organize many projects that have enhanced the student’s experience and the program. And, Juan Rene Aguirre will be our first alum to teach and lead a class of students. He will be instructing second grade and leading them through their First Communion year. Our community welcomes the alumni that were nurtured at St. Elizabeth, please know that your time and talent will be accepted with open arms to enhance the learning environment for the next generation.

I would like to extend an invitation to join us on St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Birthday, August 28th, for food, fellowship, and fun. We look forward to spending the evening with you and your family.

May God be with you, always.

Yours in Christ,

Mrs. Marci Greene

Principal

A Fond Farewell to

Mrs. Earl-Lynn

After 25 years of dedicated service to our students at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School, we lovingly say goodbye to Mrs. Earl-Lynn. Our school community shares many fond memories of Mrs. Earl-Lynn, mother to Haley ’04 and Zoe ’07, friend, and teacher to our children. She has been a true and trusted partner in our students' education. We wish Mrs. Earl-Lynn many blessings as she embarks on the next chapter of her life. She will be deeply missed by our school community. View her farewell letter here.

Alumni Spotlight: Aaron Hidalgo

Aaron is a proud eagle ready to take flight. He attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School (SEAS) from 2010 to 2019, where he enjoyed participating in Little Dribblers and various sports. His early love for math led him to the Mental Math Bowl and eventually Sheldon High School’s Biotech Academy. Aaron fondly remembers Mrs. McCarley, his math teacher, who provided extra support to nurture his passion and prepare him for advanced high school math classes.

Aaron cherishes the tight-knit community at SEAS and appreciates spending his early educational years with the same group of classmates. Field Day and attending Mass every Friday were among his favorite memories.

In high school, Aaron continued to shine, participating in clubs like the Biology Club and UNICEF. He was also active in sports, serving as captain of the Men’s Volleyball and Cross Country teams, earning the title of MVP in 2021, and playing as a defender on the men’s soccer team.

This May, Aaron graduated as Sheldon High School’s Class of 2024 Salutatorian with a 4.61 GPA, having completed 12 AP classes and 8 honors classes. He received the All School Husky Award and the Dale Lacky Sports Award, recognizing his exemplary achievements.

Aaron has accepted an offer to attend the University of Southern California (USC) in the fall, where he plans to double major in Biochemistry and Neuroscience. He aims to pursue a career in medical research.

Aaron, we are incredibly proud of you, and your St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School family celebrates your achievements!

A Night in Hollywood - 25th Annual Dinner Auction

On April 20th, the community of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School came together in a remarkable show of support to raise essential funds for our school. The event was a testament to the strength and unity of our community, with parents, faculty, alumni, and friends joining forces to ensure the continued success and growth of our school.

The evening was filled with various activities, including a silent auction, live auction, and dancing, all aimed at bringing our community closer while contributing to a worthy cause.

During the event, future plans for our school were also presented, including the unveiling of the “Building Our Future Fund.” This capital campaign is designed to lay the groundwork for the expansion of our school, aiming to build a science lab, library, new facilities that can be shared with the parish, and extra classrooms designed to cater to diverse learning needs with smaller class sizes.

Our goal this year is to raise $100,000 to kickstart this expansion, and we are excited to announce that we raised $20,000 at the annual auction. This significant contribution brings us closer to realizing our vision for the future of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated, donated, and volunteered. Your generosity and commitment to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School is deeply appreciated, and together, we are making a significant impact on the future of our students. Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to our school's mission.

With God’s help,

I will act in such a way that I will be proud of myself

And others will be proud of me, too.

As long as I do my best today

I cannot fail.

Amen
