Spring has sprung. Grab a friend and take part in local and regional creative expos. Don’t have a buddy for exploring sewing and quilt expos or shop hops? No problem. Go solo. I have always said that our stitch industry is the kindest, most generous, and creative. People in our industry, whether professional or hobbyist, are helpful and friendly.
It’s easy to meet new creative friends while exploring quilt exhibits, sewing shows, and sharing a café table at a busy concession stand. Start a conversation by asking, “What kind of sewing or quilting do you like to do?” Ask, “What’s your favorite quilt on display? Or, “What new notion did you find? Or if you see me at a show, I’ll ask, “What’s your favorite SCHMETZ needle type and size?
It’s time. Put your comfy shoes on and be inspired at local shows.
