2nd Annual Down Home Daffodils Planting
On Saturday, October 8th, members and friends of the Mason Sycamore Creek Garden Club gathered to complete the 2nd annual planting of over 400 daffodil bulbs in downtown Mason.
Working with sponsors - the City of Mason and Dart Bank – the Club is working to naturalize with daffodils throughout our community’s green areas. This is a long-range project with intent to expand planting areas each year in the green space next to our major streets and parks. The Club created the project to bring the community together through volunteer efforts to plant the bulbs each fall for a beautiful welcome to our community every spring!! The Club also encourages residents to plant daffodil bulbs on their own property.
We can all look forward to seeing the results next spring.

TRUE Community Credit Union celebrated CU Kind Day with random acts of kindness throughout the communities we serve. Our 211 team members were provided resources to spread these acts of kindness on Monday, October 10, such as buying coffees for random coffee shop customers, donating to local homeless and animal shelters, or helping pay for someone’s gas.
“The world is so chaotic and noisy these days, and quite honestly, it can feel as though kindness doesn’t exist anymore,” said TRUECCU President and CEO Chrissy Siders. “CU Kind Day is an opportunity for us to highlight our commitment to be true to our members, true to our communities, and true to each other. I love the hearts of our employees and their desire to give back to the communities we live, work, and play in. The TRUE Team is a daily reminder of harmony, peace, and goodness, and we love blessing our communities!”

New Chief Medical Officer announced for Henry Ford Allegiance Medical Group |
JACKSON, Mich. (Oct. 20, 2022) – Henry Ford Health has announced the appointment of Tim Peterson, M.D., MBA, FACEP, as Henry Ford Allegiance Medical Group’s new Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
As CMO of the Henry Ford Allegiance Medical Group, Dr. Peterson will act as the principal operational leader for the Group, assisting medical director leaders with oversight, mentoring, and monitoring of performance and quality of care. He will also assist with the development and deployment of the Medical Group’s strategic plan and collaboratively work toward enhancing efficiency while delivering high-value, culturally appropriate, patient-centered care.
Dr. Peterson brings nearly two decades of clinical care and health care leadership experience to the Henry Ford Allegiance Medical Group. Most recently, he held the roles of population health executive and associate professor of emergency medicine at Michigan Medicine where he has been in clinical practice in the Adult Emergency Department. Dr. Peterson also served as board chair and accountable care organization executive for the Physician Organization of Michigan ACO. Previous roles with Michigan Medicine include medical director of population health and interim executive director of home care services.
"Dr. Peterson is a highly qualified health care leader with a background in integrated health system administration and practice. He has extensive experience with large-scale population health strategy and operations as well as value-based care initiatives,” said Henry Ford Allegiance Medical Group Chief Executive Officer, Mark Smith, M.D.
Dr. Peterson is board certified in Emergency Medicine, a current fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, and he is a board member of both Physician Health Plan and Physician Health Plan Medicare Advantage.
"I’m excited to join an organization so focused on the communities it serves, truly striving to understand each patient’s unique needs, diligently working to create and innovate programs, and aiming for excellence and best-in-class service,” said Dr. Peterson. “I look forward to collaborating across Henry Ford Health, the Henry Ford Allegiance Medical Group, and Jackson Health Network to positively impact quality, affordability and access to care.”
Dr. Peterson received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati and his MBA from the University of Michigan. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Michigan/St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and completed a health care policy fellowship at the Center for Healthcare Research and Transformation in Ann Arbor, MI. Dr. Peterson is a Miami University graduate with concentrations in microbiology, and management and organizational behavior.
