Updates from Your Favorite Sunday Market

The long winter is over and the Greenbelt Farmers Market is opening for 2024 this Sunday, May 12, 10am-2pm. We hope you are as excited as we are!

Vendors

We have a great lineup of vendors, including most of your old favorites and six new ones. Welcome to our new vendors:

  • Atwater's Traditional Food (weekly)
  • Amity Kitchen (weekly)
  • Magnolia's Candles and Soap (bi-weekly)
  • Mother Molly's (bi-weekly)
  • Sweet Intuition (bi-weekly)
  • Earth's Backyard (monthly)

We fondly say goodbye to long-time produce vendor Shlagel Farms as they shift their business model to focus on food insecure communities. So long to Night Owl Vegan, St. Michael's Oysters, and Ruby Roo. We appreciate all of these vendors being part of our farmers market community.

This is the second Sunday of the month, so expect alternating-week vendors Elk Run Vineyards, Strib'ble Treats, Mel's Munchies. Surin Aromas, and Sweet Intuition. Also, Earth's Backyard (monthly vendor) will be attending opening day.

Our regular weekly vendor, Mystic Water Soap will not be at the Market but instead will be at the Green Man Festival being held next door in Roosevelt Center.

Check out the full 2024 vendor list for other details.

Entertainment

In the morning singer-songwriter Mike Hummel will be serenading us with his 70s-style folk pop. Mike and Barb will be entertaining in the afternoon.

SNAP recipients

Remember to look for your tokens from last year and bring them in. They are still valid. For new SNAP purchases the market is providing a match up to $30.

Bag Ordinance

It is true that the Prince George's County and Greenbelt bag ordinances apply to farmers markets. Vendors will be operating the same as a grocery store. No larger plastic bags will be available. Please show patience with our vendors as they honor these rules. Make everyone's market experience smoother by bringing your own reusable bags.
