State of the Town
The Town of Bennett hosted the State of the Town on July 22, 2022. Every summer the Town of Bennett hosts this event to celebrate our community and stakeholders, and to highlight current and past Town projects. This year, Mayor Royce Pindell highlighted the Board’s shared vision for the Town as well as recognized the importance of the Town’s history, past, present and future.

The Town also celebrated the ribbon cutting and opening of the restored Historic Charles Muegge House. Members of the Muegge family were present including Dent Hand, Dan Watts and Martha Ahern.

The Muegge House was built in the early 1900s when the settler, Garrett Harris, decided to make Bennett his home. In 1948 the home was purchased by Charles Muegge and used it as a bunkhouse for hired hands that worked with him. The Town of Bennett purchased the property in 1998 and it has served as an office in a variety of ways. Now that the renovation is complete it will serve as a living museum.

Funding for this project came from a generous grant from Adams County and Open Space Sales Tax Program.

Grammy nominated Country Band, Little Texas, will be performing a free concert at Bennett Days.

This is the 12th annual Bennett Days Celebration and has always been a free event to the community. Little Texas will be performing following the bull riding championship finals .

As part of the Young Country movement of the early ‘90s, Little Texas were responsible for shaking up the country music world with a new, energetic sound that fused the look and attitude of modern rock music with traditional country themes and styles, bringing a much appreciated bolt of life into the genre. For their efforts, country fans the world over richly rewarded the band, buying up over 7 million of their albums, while critics showered them with 3 Grammy nominations plus honors from both the Academy of Country Music (Vocal Group of The Year) and the Country Music Association (Album Of The Year).

The Little Texas Concert was generously sponsored by the Town of Bennett Board of Trustees. The concert will take place at a new location at Kiowa Creek located off of Old Victory Road.

Think Before You Flush!
Did you know that products claiming to be flushable are not really flushable? These types of products can wreak havoc on waste systems, causing sewage back-ups.

Other things that are not flushable and can cause clogged pipes include grease from melted fat, clothing, paper towels, cat litter, diapers and personal hygiene products. Drano can also be very hard on your pipes.

Please be cautious and conscientious of what you are putting down your drain. When in doubt, throw it out!
Bennett Days Sponsorship
Bennett Days 2022 is September 10, 2022. This has always been a free event to the community and in order to keep it free we need your help! We highly encourage all businesses, non-profits and stakeholders in the I-70 Corridor region to be involved in order to increase recognition and promote our community as a whole.

We are looking for sponsors to be a part of this great event.

If you want to sponsor, provide swag for our giveaway bags or would prefer to give back to our community in another way, we would love to hear what you have in mind. Donations big and small are welcome.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact Danette Ruvalcaba at (303)644-3249 ext. 1021 or [email protected].
