Add Tuesday, June 18 to your calendars to join WTS Charlotte Metro chapter for a Lunch and Learn with Iona L. Thomas, AICP, Chief Growth + Strategy Officer at McAdams.

Iona will present about how projects are often undercut by our own limited thinking. By challenging basic assumptions and thinking creatively about the unique opportunities along Trenton Road, the McAdams team was able to design a solution that closes a key gap in the trail network connecting to Umstead State Park with a 10-ft wide shared use path. This lunch session will take participants through the design, coordination, and approval processes McAdams navigated to get a first of its kind in North Carolina solution designed and out to bid. 

Networking will begin at 11:30 am with the lunch program running from noon to 1:00pm. A registration link will be emailed out soon!

Sierra Haynes, Kim Krouskroup, and Noelle Arena from our Chapter visited UNC Charlotte to speak to middle school and high school students about careers in STEM! They had a great time and answered many good questions from the students.
