Spring Payment Plan Open


Surry Community College's Spring Payment Plan has opened!

For full-term courses, the plan will close January 4 at 6 p.m. There are three equal payments due in February, March and April.

For mid-term courses, the plan will open on February 20, and close on March 8 at 6 p.m. Half of the tuition is due at enrollment with the other half due in April.

There is a $25 set-up/enrollment fee. To sign up, go to Nelnet under Quicklinks in myKnightLife. If you have questions, please contact one of the cashiers at (336) 386-3206.

Veterans Luncheon: November 10

In honor of Veterans Day and free to all veterans, the Veterans Luncheon will be held on Thursday, November 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Grand Hall of the Shelton-Badgett North Carolina Center for Viticulture & Enology on Surry’s campus in Dobson. Food will be served at 11:30 a.m. with the displaying of flags, and entertainment to follow.

Wine Symposium: November 16

The 2022 Southeastern United Grape and Wine Symposium will be held Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. This year's theme is "Sustainability: Continuous Improvement."

The symposium is being presented by the Shelton-Badgett North Carolina Center for Viticulture & Enology on Surry Community College’s Dobson campus. This Center serves the grape and wine industry, not only in North Carolina, but the entire Southeast by providing workforce training and industry support.

The cost is $125 for early registration for the event, including the Grand Wine Tasting, or $50 for the Grand Wine Tasting. The deadline to register is Nov. 11. Register now..

Fall Student Arts Show: November 17


Join us on November 17 on the third floor of the Dobson Campus J-Building from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for the Fall Student Art Show!

Works will be on display from our current art students. Family, friends and community members are encouraged to come view the student work. The artwork on display will showcase work from our drawing, design, photography and ceramics classes. Refreshments will be served.

Ireland Study Abroad Info Session: November 28


Join Surry Community College on a short-term study abroad trip to Ireland in Summer 2023. The trip will be through The Institute of Study Abroad Ireland, based in Donegal. The campus is located in Bundoran, Ireland’s famous surf town.

An information session about the study abroad trip will be held in room C-206 on the Dobson Campus on Monday, November 28, at 6 p.m. This session is for interested students, parents, faculty, staff and community members.

The Knights Grill offers a full breakfast daily with multiple plate specials and “grab and go” items. Also, a full grill side with numerous selections and Hunt Brothers pizza by the hunk or a whole pizza. The grill also has a sub/wrap station and a full salad bar.
