I am looking forward to Sunday evening with hopeful anticipation! While I have invited many that have walked alongside my own journey of faith, the service of installation is not about me - it's about us. As part of the service, you will have the opportunity to participate in a covenant of ministry. Don't worry - you won't be called on to speak from the pulpit or write anything, but instead join in a chorus of covenant in the form of a litany.
In all my conversations with those traveling to join us, each person expressed such joy in coming alongside our family of faith in celebration of this next chapter of doing life and ministry together here in Rutherfordton. I hope you'll make plans to come.
Blessings,
Aimee

NEW CONSTITUTION & BYLAWS APPROVED
The revised constitution and bylaws was approved by the church in a special called church conference on Sunday, April 28, after worship. A total of 82 members voted and an overwhelming majority (80-2) voted in favor of the revisions, including a change to the requirements for membership related to baptism. Also approved by the same margin was the new mission statement: "Loving God, Loving Others."
The group charged with leading this major revision of "how" we do Church here at FBC Rutherfordton was the Long-Range Planning Committee, which began the work in 2019. Major thanks go to that group: Nell Bovender, Chair; Penny Parker, Secretary; Lynn Blanton, Daryl Camper, Lori Herrick, Frank Jones and Mike Stephenson.
