A Southern Baptist Association

From Your

Associational Mission Strategist

Camp Season is one month away! I am looking forward to what God is going to do again this year through our Camp Ministry. For the past 13 camp seasons I have been here, we have seen children saved every summer. This ministry is vital and your support is greatly appreciated. Many of our churches have always supported the camps and we are calling upon each church to support the efforts once again. We need Adult and Youth Camp Missionaries to serve at our camps. If you feel led to help us, please let me know and then go to our camp page on our website to print and fill out an application or you can pick one up at our office. This camp is a local mission and there is no better way to be involved in local missions than to serve at our camps. I will also be sending letters to our churches in a few weeks asking for donations of supplies we will need for the camps and enlist churches to provide and serve a meal during our camps. I would ask that you begin to pray for our camps and that God will move in the lives of each camper. I would also encourage churches to advertise the camp to those families you are trying to reach who have children. This is a great venue to encourage them to be a part of the local church.

I am also anticipating what God is going to do through the Vacation Bible Schools in the churches that will be having VBS. This is one of the greatest evangelistic outreaches our churches do each year. I look forward to getting around and visiting the churches that are having a VBS, as I have opportunity. Also, many of our churches use different literature and if you would like to share your decorations with other churches, please let me know. Please join me in prayer for God to do a mighty work through each church as they minister to the children who attend VBS!

I am grateful every day to have the opportunity to serve our Pastors and churches. I am always available to help in any way that I can. Your congregation is vital to the Kingdom and God and every church is vital to the association. My prayer is that we will continue to work together to win more lost to Christ!

The association office has a small emergency food pantry that ministers to those in need. Many of those who we assist only have a microwave and do not have access to a stove and/or oven, so the above listed items are primarily needed.

Don’t throw them away–bring them to SCBN Office
