Welcome to Holy Week!
Since we start our worship services tonight, Maundy Thursday, we are sending the Friday email on Thursday. We hope that you can walk with us to as many of the services that your time permits – either in person or from your homes. This email will also include other information that might be of interest to you.
Maundy Thursday – April 6 – 7:30 pm
As Jesus anticipates his death, we remember his mandate to love one another. From the Gospel of John, Jesus took a towel and washed the feet of his disciples. On this night we will wash our hands for service. At the end of the service, we will strip the altar in preparation for Good Friday.

Good Friday – April 7 – 12 pm and 7:30 pm
We have two services on Good Friday. The service at 12 pm will recall the last words of Jesus according to the Gospel of Matthew. For Holy Communion we will offer the consecrated elements from Maundy Thursday. The service at 7:30 pm is called a Tenebrae Service, the Service of Shadows. We read from the Gospel of John as we make our way to the cross with Christ.

Easter Vigil – April 8 – 7:30 pm
The darkness of Good Friday starts this service. People will gather outside. After a new fire is lit people will process inside to hear different readings from Scripture. After the readings the people will renew their baptismal vows before they enter the worship space for an Easter service. Since this service has several locations, it will not be livestreamed.
