Dear Penrose Families,

Happy December! We want to thank all of our PES families that came to Grandparents Day. What a fun time making memories with the special people in our lives. We look forward to seeing you all back next November!

This month, I'd like to highlight our fantastic third grade team, and our Title 1 intervention teachers. These teachers make coming to school fun, and help our students grow everyday.

Please read below to learn about all the exciting things taking place at PES this month!

Happy Holidays!

~Sheryl Gifford
3rd Grade Teachers
Miss Dickey and Mrs. Olguin

Hello we are the third grade team- Miss Dickey on the left and Mrs. Olguin on the right. We have been teaching together for four years and love being together! Mrs. Olguin has been teaching for 12 years and is married to her high school sweetheart. She has two boys, Easton and Everett. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and making memories. Miss Dickey works at her family’s restaurant, Juniper Valley, on the weekends, and enjoys spending time outdoors. Miss Dickey recently finished her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and received her principal’s license last year.

Interventionists
Mrs. Dzikowski
Hi! My name is Tina Dzikowski.  This is my 12th year teaching at Penrose and my 25th in education. I have been lucky enough to be a classroom teacher at each grade level K-5 during my years of teaching.  Currently, I am a Title 1 Reading Intervention Teacher at Penrose and the Elementary Gifted Coordinator at both PES and FES.  I enjoy working with small groups of students as they work through their challenges.  When I’m not at school, I enjoy gardening, hiking, camping, reading, and crafts.

Mrs. Roberts

Hi! My name is Amy Roberts. I've had various roles at Penrose over the last several years. This year I'm excited to be a Title 1 Reading Intervention Para. I love helping small groups of students improve their reading skills. During my free time, I enjoy hiking, biking, and outdoor activities.
