A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Our Lady Queen of Angels School Community,

Catholic Schools Week provides all of us with the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to Catholic education. We thank our PTO volunteers, parents, faculty and staff for their support and trust as we strive to provide a nurturing, challenging, and faith-filled learning environment for all of our students. 

Our PTO has been working hard to make sure every member of our school community feels valued and appreciated through the many events and activities they organize. We are getting excited for the upcoming High School Time Machine Fundraiser on Saturday, March 16. It will be our first school fundraiser in the beautiful Athletics & Activities Center.

We are so blessed to have the families listed below show their support as Underwriters. I hope you'll consider joining them. By having our event on campus, our costs are much lower this year. Supporting underwriting not only supports the event, but it ensures funds raised that night will go directly to support the school’s greatest needs.

MEDICAL — To keep all of our ANGELS healthy, please do not send a sick child to school.

TARDIES — We are seeing an uptick in tardies. Please be on time.

CARLINE — We ask all parents to please be cautious, kind and patient when dropping off and picking up students in carlines. Also, only enter carlines at the designated entrance. Never enter carlines near the Athletics & Activities Center.

LENTEN FISH BAKE

The Our Lady Queen of Angels Church Lenten Fish Bake is back! Join us Fridays at 6 p.m. during Lent for dinner and fellowship —2/23, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22. Stay tuned for menus and information soon. PAL Spring Sports Coaching Opportunities

We have many students in grades 5-8 expressing interest in playing Girls' Beach Volleyball, Boys' Indoor Volleyball and Girl's Flag Football but the school needs coaches for these teams. If you have any experience coaching or playing these sports and could commit to leading a team this spring, please contact Athletic Director Kevin Ricks immediately by email at [email protected].

RE-ENROLLMENT 24/25 SCHOOL YEAR

• Since the re-enrollment period has passed, a late fee of $100 will be assessed through FACTS through February 10, 2024, which will end the re-registration period. Registration Fees are $400 per student. Additionally, please be prepared to pay the FACTS administration fees of $50 per family and $10 per student.
• February 14, 2024 - Financial Aid applications open for the 2023-2024 school year.
• April 14, 2024 - Financial Aid applications close for the 2023-2024 school year.
• May 15, 2024 - Financial Aid award letters sent out by email.

NOT RETURNING?

If you will not be re-enrolling your student for the 2024/2025 school year, please email Marisa Villamor at [email protected] with your student(s) name, current grade, and reason for leaving OLQA (moving, financial, etc.).

LOG YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS

Now is a good time to check on your progress in fulfilling your family commitment of 25 volunteer hours. 

Please report your hours via your FACTS Family Portal. Here are the instructions:

• Scroll down to Family and in the center you will see Service Hours 
• Press add to add your hours, date, description 
• No verification needed

Families will billed through FACTS for any portion of the 25 hours that are not fulfilled by May 15, 2023 in the amount of $20 per hour. If you have any questions, please contact Susan Earlabaugh, PTO VP Volunteers.
