SCARBOROUGH FISH & GAME SPORTING CLAYS
September 15 -
September 18, 2022
Shooters...
This was our best OLD Zone One Championship yet. The weather was perfect, the targets were very challenging, we had Greg and Sharon providing great food and we had the second annual, New England All Star Shoot-Off. It was paradise for sporting clays shooters.

PUBLIC SPORTING CLAYS
First the news...as always the Main event and the Prelim targets, along with the All Star Shoot-Off targets will be open this Wednesday from 10am-5pm and this coming Sunday from 10am-2pm. Come on back and try them all again or take your own try at the shoot-off targets. Also, we have ammo available if you need some to shoot.

ALL STAR SHOOT-OFF
The All Star Shoot-Off was a huge success. The audience participation was awesome with bidding and cheering. Special thanks to our MC, Jacob Williams, who did an outstanding job. He went above and beyond to make it a real show. We want to thank all the shooter participants who were brave enough to go up in front of all those people and give it a shot. You all should be proud. It was very close and really exciting to watch. This year's new Super Final format made things really exciting to watch and really nerve racking if you were shooting. After the first round of 12 birds each, the men that went to the Super Final were Gordon Brooks, Brad Newell, Tracy Newell, Mike Keene, and Dan Linker (who was the only one to run the first 12 birds - great shooting Dan!). The women that went to the Super Final were Pam Rich, Olivia Gallivan and Heidi Lessard. Both the men's and women's Super Final ended with ties and had to go to sudden death. For the men, Brad Newell won out over Gordon Brooks and for the women, Pam Rich beat Heidi Lessard. The new super final was a big hit with the crowd and will definitely be back next year. Congratulations Brad & Pam!

THANK YOU
And finally, the important part, Thank You! Thank you to Greg and Sharon Berry and Leisha for preparing and serving all that great food. Thank you to Lisa and Bill for registration and scoring all those events. Thank you to all of our volunteers that put in weeks of work to get this shoot ready and run so smooth...Jim, Randy, Steve, Pam, Tom, Ron, Bernie, Mary, and David. I'm sure I have forgotten some people. Thanks to guest target setter Bernie Raimo who came up with those challenging targets.

Well, the OLD Zone One Championship is a wrap. Can't wait to see you all, again, at the New England Super Sporting Championship (October 8 & 9).
