SUMMER 2024 BOOK STUDY

Starting June 2

This summer we are going to dive into the basics with Rob Bell’s new book What Is the Bible? How an Ancient Library of Poems, Letters, and Stories Can Transform the Way You Think and Feel About Everything. Join us for learning and conversation as we

re-engage with the importance of the Bible and how we can make it relevant in our lives here in the 21st Century. This Book Study is available to all of our youth and adults and we encourage you all to join us when you can for conversation.

Dates starting June 2 and then every other week through August 25th.

We will have approximately 20 free copies of the book available on a first come first serve basis in the Narthex (should be arriving by or before May 19th) or you can find them online.

May Sock Drive for

 People Incorporated

In celebration of Mental Health Month, we will be collecting new adult socks for People Incorporated Mental Health Services. People Incorporated was founded on the belief that those living with mental illness must not be isolated, removed, or otherwise segregated from their communities but instead should be “incorporated” and supported within the communities in which they choose to live. They serve more than 10,000 discrete clients through various programs, from children to adults and those experiencing homelessness. Our donations will go to their Access & Recovery Center, which supports people experiencing homelessness who are not able to use local shelters. Drop socks off in the bins located in the Narthex.

Contemplative Practice Time

June 9th

As we kick off Summer Outdoor worship let's spend some time connecting our spirituality with the great outdoors.

We will be kicking off Summer Outdoor Worship on May 26 and to follow that we will be having a contemplative practice

session on Sunday June 9th meeting by the outdoor labyrinth in between doors A and B. We will welcome back our Spiritual Director, Sarah Cledwyn, as she joins us once again to guide us in this practice. We are most fortunate to have her join us each month through the Lilly Endowment Grant as she shares her spiritual direction with us. Our session with Sarah will be during our Gathering/Donut Time from 9-10:00 outside by the labyrinth. Join us!

Bring your kids to

Kid Zone

During our 10:00 AM service, children ages three years old to fifth graders leave after the children’s message. Here, they dive into the stories that dwell at the core of Christian understanding. We use tools like crafts, games, stories, and other aids that play to the different learning styles. There is no cost for the program, and all levels of engagement are welcome to join in the learning.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email Pastor Brice.

Have you been wanting to get more involved in Sunday worship?

We invite you to join a worship ministry to help enhance services and make them flow as seamlessly as possible. We are always looking for help with Ushering, Communion, or sharing the scripture by being a Lay Reader. No experience is necessary.

All sign-ups are based on your availability.
