Stepping into Sacred Time

An interfaith program Stepping into Sacred Time will be held Wednesday night, 10/30 at the Institute for Islamic, Christian, and Jewish Studies, which is at 956 Dulaney Valley Rd., Towson, MD 21204 at 7 PM. Members of the MEC community were instrumental in the design of this program in fulfillment to our commitment to the congregational leaders fellowship this past January - June. Please join us if you are able!

The program theme is the importance of holding space and time in our lives devoted to relationship with the Holy One. Our hope is that by providing examples of prayers and texts from the three Abrahamic faith traditions we can learn from one another and help strengthen our growing interfaith relationships. During the discussion section, we invite insights and questions about our similarities and our differences as we grow in community with one another. Member congregations in addition to MEC include Hasbuna Allahu and Masjid Al Inshirah Muslim congregations, Beth Israel Congregation, and St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church.

All Saints Day

Please do not forget to bring photos or other mementos to church for the ofrenda on All Saints Day this Sunday. And please feel free to send and digital images of loved ones who have gone to eternity to Candice (office@memorialepiscopal.org) or to Pan+ (pan@memorialepiscopal.org) by COB on 10/31 so they can be printed and presented on the ofrenda.

Food Donations for Afghan Immigrants

Dear Memorial Community,

We are collecting food donations for two immigrant families with a total of six children and five adults. Their government assistance has been reduced and we are helping to fill the gap, while they continue to work hard to establish their independence.

Please bring your donations to the church sanctuary, where there will be a marked box to leave items, on Sundays only, between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. We will deliver them to the families after the 10:30 service. All food should be either shelf-stable or safe to remain at room temperature for several hours.
