Just because awareness month has concluded, doesn't mean raising awareness should! Be sure to check out our year-round resources on the Falls Free Wisconsin webpage!

If you did any activities for Falls Prevention Awareness Month, the National Council on Aging (NCOA) is asking you to participate in a survey to inform on the many activities that happened across the nation! Please complete the survey!

Give $5 for Giving Tuesday

Help Make Generosity Go Viral for WIHA

We’re excited to announce our biggest fundraiser yet and we need your help! Our goal is to engage as many donors as possible to help us continue the great work of providing resources and materials to help all people to age well! All we’re asking for is a simple $5 donation. Every dollar counts, and your contribution will directly support WIHA's efforts in providing programs and resources that enhance the health and well-being of all people as we age. Together, we can make a significant impact—let's show how small donations can add up to something truly remarkable! Join us from November through December to Give $5!

How to Participate

You are our closest partner and we are so grateful for you! We have listed some very easy and simple ways that you can help amplify our messaging for end of year giving!

  • Add Giving Tuesday to your calendar! Giving Tuesday is December 3, 2024 and is the 3rd largest giving day of the year! (What are the top 2? December 30th and 31st!)
  • Follow our Facebook and LinkedIn and share our posts starting the week of November 25th. We'll be doing a heavy Giving Tuesday campaign and then will be sharing weekly through the end of the year.
  • Give $5 and share on social media with text describing why you gave, such as "I participated in #Give5toWIHA because WIHA helps all people to age well. To #Give5toWIHA, visit https://wihealthyaging.org/give #GivingTuesday #WIHA #givingback #volunteering #causes #inspiration"
  • Share our emails with your participants, family, and friends, and ask them to give $5 to WIHA! Just $5 can make a big difference when we all come together!

Thank you so much for being our partner and helping to amplify our voice!

Program Updates

Facilitator Certification Reminders

  • Facilitators need to lead a workshop every 12 months to remain active. (For example, if you facilitate a workshop in October 2024, you will need to facilitate a workshop by October 2025 to remain active.)

Workshop Notification Forms (WNFs)

  • WNFs need to be submitted for each workshop held. This form helps WIHA track certification status as well as helps to promote the workshops on the WIHA website. Workshop Notification Form buttons may be found on the Program Resources page of the specific program.

Data Collection Forms

  • Valuable to the program developers and are a requirement of offering a WIHA program. Data packets are due to WIHA no later than two weeks after the last workshop session. Data packets are updated regularly! Please be sure to always download the most recent documents from the Program Resources page of the specific program.

Program Marketing

  • Passive & active marketing techniques should both be used. If you need a refresher on these, check out the Planning Your Workshop module of the Basic Training course.
  • The marketing material templates we provide on the Program Resources page of the specific program. Templates include presentations, flyers, press releases, social media posts, and more!

WIHA Team

Thank You, Sponsors!

Make a gift to WIHA today!

We’re aging. All of us. And it’s up to each of us to take good care of ourselves and our health as we age. That’s where we come in. We’re here to help people help themselves to better health. But we can’t do it alone! As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we operate on grants and contributions from generous donors and partners. Your support is vital to us as we administer programs and promote practices that encourage good health. With your donation we can serve older adults in the best possible way to increase the quality of their lives. We thank you so much for being a part of our network!
