Governor Glenn Youngkin has announced the recipients of the 2022 Governor’s Volunteerism and Community Service Awards, honoring the outstanding efforts of individual volunteers and organizations contributed on behalf of citizens throughout the Commonwealth. Since 1984, Virginia governors have celebrated the impact of volunteers, and honored the significant contributions of Virginians across the state with the annual Governor's Awards on Volunteerism and Community Service. The efforts recognized this year include increasing access to STEM programming, improving public parks and recreation resources, supporting youth and families affected by the foster care system, and much more.
