NACIE UNVEILS "COMPETITIVENESS THROUGH ENTREPRENEURSHIP" REPORT 

At the recent National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE) meeting, the council released its latest report, "Competitiveness Through Entrepreneurship: A Strategy for U.S. Innovation." Developed over months, the report offers 10 key recommendations to enhance U.S. innovation and competitiveness, including establishing a National Innovation Council and expanding R&D investments. UK Innovate’s Ian McClure serves as a board member of NACIE.

2024 KENTUCKY INNOVATOR CHALLENGE

The second annual Kentucky Innovator Challenge, held on April 11 at the University of Kentucky, convened leaders from business, service organizations and higher education. They gathered for a one-day summit aimed at identifying Kentucky’s most pressing challenges and exploring collaborative solutions through research and innovation. 


The event brought together over 200 participants and 10 industry partners for a full day of keynote addresses, federal funding and resource program overviews and three presentation tracks featuring 15-minute TED Talk-style presentations. 


Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the success of the Kentucky Innovator Challenge. Stay tuned for next year's event date, which we will be sharing in the coming months.
