A Message from the President
Gift your time and talents this holiday season

by Christine Fenner
President, Waconia Chamber of Commerce
November marks the start of the holiday season with D.E.A.R. day this Saturday, the Tree Lighting on Nov. 25 and Homespun Holiday on Nov. 26. It’s the time of year to shop, sip, dine, and support local during the gift-giving season (and all year long). With so many incredible and unique options to choose from, one doesn’t need to go far to find the perfect gift.

During this giving season, it’s also a wonderful time of year to support local with your time and talents. Maybe your talent is the gift of music, a green thumb, artistry, photography, construction or accounting. You might have the skills as a strategist, planner, influencer, connector, or communicator. There are so many talents to offer to a committee, a project, or service. We all play a part in our community as a whole. What are you really good at and how does that factor into the mission of your work? How are you best sharing your gifts. Continue reading...
