Outreach Committee is sponsoring the 2022 Christmas Giving Tree for families in the Family Promise program.

The giving tree is in Fellowship Hall this weekend. Gift tags will be available

for children and adults.

Please return the wrapped gifts with the gift tag by December 4th.

Looking for an enjoyable, easy way to involve your adult community or social group in theater? Then Emmanuel member, Jean Mosby, has the book for you! She has written a book with everyday life skits as well as a few familiar rib-tickling surprises.

Jean will be in the breezeway on Monday, December 5th from 10:30-11:30am or you may purchase a copy from any online bookstore.

Advent & Christmas Devotionals

Advent begins November 27th and runs through December 24th. Devotional booklets are available in Fellowship Hall or in the Office Center - while supply lasts.

In Partnership with the Synod

In partnership with the Florida Bahama Synod, Emmanuel Lutheran Church has distributed seventeen $1000 grants to people in the Venice area who were affected by Hurricane Ian. Thirteen grants went to non-members and four to members.

We gathered with them, listened to their stories, prayed with them and proclaimed God's loving presence within the midst of their struggle.

Thank you so much for the very generous gift. It will surely help us start over after loosing our home to a fire during Hurricane Ian.

Being in cold and flu season, we need our Vitamin C! Even though it can’t PREVENT illness, it will shorten recovery time if you get sick. We need 200 mg. of vitamin C per day to boost our immune response. If you don’t want to take another pill, here is where you can get some of your C:

1 medium orange 70 mg.
1 cup strawberry halves 89 mg
1 med. raw red bell pepper 152 mg
1 med. raw green bell pepper 96 mg
1 cup cooked Brussel Sprouts 118mg
6 oz. 100% tomato juice 128mg
