This class provides a safe space to be still, downshifting the nervous system and cultivating a journey inward. We begin with gentle somatic movement, followed by a sequence of Restorative Yoga poses that support our body and allow the mind to be quiet. Using breath awareness, we feel sensations that are present, which provides the opportunity to connect to the wisdom and life-force that resides within.

DREAMWORK GROUP WITH ALMA SPENCER

On Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 pm

Carl Jung believed dreams were direct communications from the unconscious to the conscious, and therefore an opportunity for personal growth. If you’re not familiar with dream interpretation, the process is quite simple: learn to remember your dreams and develop your intuition. But since it’s often much easier to interpret someone else’s dream than your own, we’ll share our dreams in a supportive environment to benefit from each others’ intuitive insights. If you have any recent dreams to share, please bring them to discuss with the group.

Love Donation.

We cannot be of greater service to this Word than through stillness and silence. There we can hear and understand it correctly.” Sermon 18. We will begin the hour with 20 minutes of silent meditation. We will then do a 5 minute silent walking meditation followed by another 20 minutes of silence.

DEATH CAFE WITH MARIE FERRARO

On Thursday, May 16, 2024

from 7 to 8:30

A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling group.

The objective of a Death Cafe is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'. When we acknowledge that we are going to die, it falls back on ourselves to ask the question, 'In the limited time that I have, what is important for me to do?'.

Join us for an open, nurturing, safe and supportive conversation around death and dying, grief and all that surrounds these deeply meaningful topics. We invite and encourage differing views and beliefs, questions and curiosities. Space will be held, community will be cultivated and listening will be active.

Each Cafe discussion will be different, but discussions often center around subjects such as how does death effect life, advance directive planning, physician assisted dying, care of the elderly, funeral arrangement, fears around illness and death and what happens after death.

Death Cafe is a global not for profit entity. If you want to know more about death Cafe follow the link below.

SOURDOUGH CLASS WITH MONTE AUKES

On Saturday, May 18th at 10 am.

Monte has been eating sourdough his whole life. He still does his sourdough just like his dad did.

In the class we will be making pancakes on a single cast iron pan, as we talk and taste several variations of sourdough. Monte will pickup small amounts of the flour we use in class as a “starter kit” for each person that attends. These will be prepackaged at E & Salesin Shipshawana, IN. These ingredients will be a baseline for you to improve upon as you experiment.

Goals for this sourdough class:

-Become proficient at starting, reading and maintaining a sourdough starter through

heavy & low use periods.

-Understand how we are using sourdough to improve our health.

-Open our minds to the broad range of ingredients we can ferment.

-Open our minds to the broad range of foods we can make.

Sourdough is a fun and rewarding art that is easy and forgiving. Properly prepared grains offer good nutrition, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and premium fiber. I always have around 50 - 100lbs of flour & grains on-hand and I’ll talk about how I like to store it.

Join us for this fun class. See how easy it is to create better health for you and your family. Gulten-free people are welcome to attend. The purpose of sourdough is to make normal grain safe to eat. Many people struggle with gluten, do to insufficiently fermented grain (and the resultant inflammation in the small intestine from the consumption

of it). We will muscle test you first.

The price is $20 per person, and remember:

Everything’s Better in the Slow Kitchen
