Special Cures for Setting New Intentions

February 2024 Newsletter

Hello Feng Shui Friends!

I have some news to share, but first let me tell you what you will find in this month's newsletter. I created a new video about using Feng Shui when we travel, specifically when we stay in an Airbnb, as well as a revised video about proper locations for your dog's kennel, but the biggest news I have to share is that I am studying to get my real estate license! Over the course of my 20+ years as a Feng Shui consultant, I have worked with many real estate agencies and individual brokers, and I have often thought about taking this step. In the past, the timing just wasn't quite right, but it feels like all signs are leading me to this new and exciting opportunity for sharing my gifts with the world.

Every time that I am personally looking for a new place to live, whether that includes renting or buying, I look at absolutely every aspect of a space to analyze its strengths and weaknesses. Becoming a real estate agent and offering my unique talents in Feng Shui with all aspects of real estate seems like the next logical step in sharing Feng Shui with the world.

Have you ever used Feng Shui to buy or sell a home? Have you steered away from a home based on something you discovered about the design? I've owned and sold three homes in my lifetime. The first was in Brookshire, TX after my divorce, the second was in La Grange, TX (and was inherited) and the third was in Round Rock, TX prior to moving to Colorado. Each one made a huge profit in spite of having very little equity and I think it had a lot to do with the Feng Shui corrections I made before putting those homes on the market. I'd love to hear about your experience and maybe it can be used in a future newsletter.

And finally, there are many ways to tap into the more esoteric aspects of Feng Shui and one of them is a ceremonial cure called The Golden Cicada Sheds Its Shell so keep reading to learn more about this and how you can participate in it if you choose.

Chinese New Year - The Year of the Wood Dragon

I do not personally know very much about celebrating and practicing the Chinese New Year, but I feel that it is worth mentioning since it is such an important part of the Chinese culture. One of the things that I like to do to celebrate it involves a secret cure that I learned from my studies with Seann Xenja and Professor Lin Yun. It is called the Golden Cicada Sheds Its Shell and I will be talking more about it below. In the meantime, I am sharing a link from Lillian Too's website - wofs.com that offers many more details about the rituals and importance of this special time of year.

The Golden Cicada Sheds Its Shell Cure

The Golden Cicada ritual is a ritual that allows us to peel off the crust that has formed around us, layer upon layer of obstacles and negativity that have clung to us, and let us return to the very beginning, to our true and innocent selves. The cure involves an egg and powdered cinnabar so it is necessary to be very careful when doing this cure because cinnabar is toxic if ingested.

The timing for doing this cure is up to the individual. It can be done on New Year's Day, on your birthday, or as a way to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Professor Lin Yun taught that any time a sacred cure is shared, there should be an offering of red envelopes with a monetary token inside. For this particular cure 27 red envelopes are required. I can also provide the cinnabar to a handful of participants at $8/pkt. You will only need one packet per person/per egg. Since my birthday is in a few days, I plan to do it then.

Any time that we take the time to focus our mind and our intention to achieve a specific goal, we are using our greatest power. Our thoughts are creative. They create our world and it is our responsibility and gift to use them consciously. If you are interested in doing this cure, please email me at fengshuidesignconcepts@gmail.com. If I run out of cinnabar for those interested, you can also get your own at www.luckycat.com.
