Grounds Work Days
The fall season is upon us and soon it will be time for the grounds to be prepared for winter. To accomplish this task the grounds team is planning to schedule three work days on Saturday October 26th, Saturday November 23 and Saturday December 14 starting at 9:00 am. There is plenty of work to be done tidying up the parking lot and various beds in the Memorial Garden, The Close and along Sigourney Street before the big oak trees start to drop their leaves towards the end of the year. Please consider lending a hand on one or more of these days so that as much work can be finished this year and the grounds are in good shape for winter. For more information, please contact Peter Green (860-922-1830). Thank you!

Sunday, November 3rd Adult Forum: Five Talents thanks you!
Five Talents is a global micro-enterprise charity working with local Anglican churches in 9 countries. Its mission is to work in the poorest countries to help the poorest women transform their lives through savings group programs.
Thanks to Trinity’s support for and sponsorship of grant requests to ECCT, Five Talents has raised $19,000 for a new program in Rwanda that helped 676 women headed families and about 1,000 in South Sudan, the world’s poorest country.
Please join us at the Forum on November 3 when Trinity’s Everett Post will thank you for your help and tell and show you the transformative results your help has achieved. Everett has worked with Five Talents for almost 25 years and is active on ECCT’s mission ministry network.

Trinity Choir: A Vision for Every Voice
Adult choir members, under the direction of Markus Centola, recently created a mission statement. Below is an excerpt, the second of several that are appearing in the eVoice and bulletin.
We gather to express our faith and to collectively serve the least among us, as Jesus was inspired to do. This daunting task calls for community, just as Jesus relied on his disciples for support and mission. In honoring our shared love for music, rooted in personal stories and collective experience, we seek to create sacred moments that deepen our connection to God and to one another. Through our commitment to prayerful music-making, we aim to inspire the hearts of the congregation, inviting all to join in praise and love.

Trinity GHIAA NEWS
As we learned during the September 29 Adult Forum, Trinity will gather as a community to attend the upcoming GHIAA Public Issues Assembly at Weaver HS on November 21 at 6:30 pm.
There is a sign up sheet with more information in Goodwin Hall, including a summary of the 2024 issue campaign. All are welcome, including friends and family of all ages. It is a great chance to show our public leaders that we support the slate of issues that emerged from our house meetings. Let’s support this important social justice work together as a parish! Please speak to Cathy Rowe or Heather Kramer if you have any questions.
Major Public Assembly: 2025 Campaign Launch
Thursday, November 21, 6:30-8:30 pm

We will gather again with hundreds of leaders from across our region to ground ourselves in our shared values, to launch our new slate of issue campaigns, and to seek public commitment from elected officials and power brokers. This is a significant public action and a chance to demonstrate GHIAA’s power to win on the issues that matter in our lives. Turnout from every GHIAA institution will be essential! Trinity Book Group
Trinity's Book Group will meet next on Friday, Nov. 22nd, 7:00-8:30 pm, to discuss the book Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants, by Robin Wall Kimmerer. As a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, she embraces the notion that plants and animals are our oldest teachers. - All are invited to attend this and any Book Group meetings, whether for one time or many. The Nov. 22nd meeting will be at the home of Linda and Mark MacGougan in West Hartford; please let them know if you plan to attend at macgougans@gmail.com. Hope to see you there!
