Weekly Newsletter 09/23/2022

Dear Parents,

It has certainly been a wet week at Kids For Kids Academy. I am sure you have been following the news and see that there could be a possible storm coming next week. Please be aware for the safety of our students and staff, if Miami Dade Schools is closed, we always follow their directive. Please stay tuned...If we get the directive to close, I will send a message in Brightwheel. Hopefully, it passes by and we can be open as normal!

Our school continues to be on a waitlist largely due to your kind recommendations. We continue to get calls for enrollment on a daily basis. If you have friends or family who are looking for childcare, we will be opening up a few spaces on June 5th for the fall term. Any families or friends needing a space can register now for them.

This may also seem premature, but due to the high demand, we have also had families inquiring about Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade for the fall. If you are thinking of keeping your VPK, Kindergartener, or First Grader here for the 2023 school year, please be sure to let me know as we will have limited space. For more information or scholarship information, please don't hesitate to ask me. Send emails to bethdavis@kidsforkidsacademy.com and I will get you the information you need. If you know for sure you want to hold a space, let me know and I will get you on the list.

FAMILY BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT:

ACCURATE INSURANCE GROUP www.accurateinsgroup.com handles auto, home, commercial, life, health, and wealth management. They also assist families in preparing college plans for your child for the future. For more information call Zaimara, Vilar-Alves at 786-302-2223.

If you would like to spotlight your family business in my next weekly letter, please send me your information.

We are looking to hire someone who is available on the weekends to update our playground equipment. Some of our toys and climbing structure need pressure cleaning while some of our metal toys need to be sanded and respray painted. If you or someone you know might be interested, please let me know.

Finally, we are open on Monday for a non-instructional day. This means that kids in VPK, Kindergarten and First grade have the option to attend or take a day off. Attendance is not taken on non-instructional days and formal instruction does not take place. These days are considered camp days.

Those Jewish families who celebrate Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur I wish you a very healthy and happy holiday!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Beth Rosenthal Davis, Ed.S, NBCT
