Registration is now OPEN for the Fall 2015 Traffic & Safety Academy for Local Governments. The Academy is designed to offer local governments training to reduce roadway departures and pedestrian fatalities. This four-day training includes 16 various topics in four training tracks to include: Technology, Regulations & Guidelines, Design and Assessment. 


Registration is FREE for local governments through the Accelerating Safety Activities Program (ASAP) grant through the Federal Highway Administration.

Register Now! Sign & Post Installation Inspection Course for KYTC employees

Signs are the means by which transportation agencies communicate the rules, warnings, guidance and other highway information that drivers need to navigate their roads and streets. Inspection and placement of these signs is crucial to the traveling public's safety. 

The Sign & Post Installation Inspection course trains individuals who are responsible for inspecting and overseeing the placement of signs on Kentucky roadways. For more information, course schedule and to register, email  [email protected]

The  2016 Lifesavers Conference is  March 22-24 in 
Louisville, KY 

The Kentucky Office of Highway Safety's Lifesavers Conference will be held 
March 22-24, 2016 at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville. This three day conference provides information on successful programs and emerging issues to individuals working on Kentucky's roadways. Lifesavers provides opportunities  for networking,  discussion and information sharing.

APWA Kentucky Chapter State Conference
October 7 & 8, 2015
Hilton Garden Inn, Louisville 

The 2015 Kentucky Chapter State Conference is being hosted this year by the Central Chapter.  Activities will begin with the state roadeo competition on October 7, and continue on October 8 with the Snow & Safety Conference and awards luncheon.
